A note nailed to several of the trees. and appears to have been written in blood, goblin blood to be precise.

"My brave companions, it is time for those that give praise to the beastlord to step forward. Too long have we been isolated hunters, for we shall gather strength in the pack of the black pard. It seems to many of the dales have become domesticated and weak. It is high time that we showed them the old ways, the true ways, and the proper ways of Nature.

For those that seek to join the Hunt, do not reply to this. Leave your messages aside, my allies will know where to find them.

For the Blood of Malar

Signed The Huntmaster of Malar."

At the bottom is the crest of a blood covered claw.

Rita who had been out for a walk in the woods to clear her head from the nights work would stop as she spotted one of these notices and read it over and over again before Mmming softly, reaching too her side pouch she would pull out her small pad of partchment and gnomish ink pen before writing something in hopes it might find its way to this so called Huntmaster.

To The Huntmaster.

I will keep this simple for your primitive mind to understand..

Any of your pack that you send to attack Shadowdale and its people will return too you in the dead of night to feast on your life essence.

You have been warned.

Keep your pack out of The Dread Lords Domain less you be smothered by it.

at the bottem of the Page was a Arcane Mark of a Skull with a serpent nestled in its eyes and a Raven Perched upon its top.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rolling it up she would bind it with a single Blade ribbon before dropping it at the Tree's Base before heading back to town, so much for a plesent walk in the woods...
Ka was quick to arrive out of his grove and looked to the trees with a frown seeing the nails. He quickly removed the notes and the nails. Healed the trees then reapplied the note with some natural saps to create a tack strong enough to hold the letter. He wanted to see what this stirred up and where the malarites have been hiding this whole time. With a small smirk he sat upon the antmound hill with a small pipe in hand looking to those gazing at the messages.
Deep within the Shadowdale woods, a large brown bear had been strung up in a small clearing. Its two front paws pierced with wooden claws tied onto a rope made from wood etched onto the trees above it, it looked disturbingly humanoid in this standing position. Moreso, the fur and skin had been flayed expertly from the creature, leaving only the flesh, meat and blood visible in the grotesque arrangement. As a small mark of what had staged this tableu, a large, vicious claw had been etched into the visible stomach of the bear.
While most civilized folk would gasp at such a display, the creatures of nature, naturally, had no such limitations, and after a small period of time, the sight became a temporary respite for the beasts of nature, providing an easy feast to several beings that call the forest their home.
