Deep within the Shadowdale woods, a large brown bear had been strung up in a small clearing. Its two front paws pierced with wooden claws tied onto a rope made from wood etched onto the trees above it, it looked disturbingly humanoid in this standing position. Moreso, the fur and skin had been flayed expertly from the creature, leaving only the flesh, meat and blood visible in the grotesque arrangement. As a small mark of what had staged this tableu, a large, vicious claw had been etched into the visible stomach of the bear.
While most civilized folk would gasp at such a display, the creatures of nature, naturally, had no such limitations, and after a small period of time, the sight became a temporary respite for the beasts of nature, providing an easy feast to several beings that call the forest their home.
