To my dear Lord/Lady Defender

News has reached me of your citys plight and I on my way to help however I can, although I am four days of hard riding away, I thought it best to send this ahead of myself, I will have too pass though Shadowdale to reach you, it is my intent to gather as much information as I can for you while I pass though, please find included a scroll of message and a lock of my raven black hair to act as a focus for the message spell. Please let me know if you would me come directly too you, or to investigate, the message spell should carry seven of your words to me.

*As Ardylan enters Myth Drannor shortly after sunrise, a guard hands him this letter, telling him it arrived an hour earlier. Ardylan opens the letter and reads it.

Though he can only understand the Elvish part of it, having no ability to understand Celestial, he gets the gist of it. Folding it back up and making sure the lock of hair and scroll of message are still intact, he puts it in an envelope addressed to Keeper Auryne.

Inside the envelope he adds his own message for Auryne:*

This letter arrived this morning. I hope you are able to read it, or trust someone who can, but from what I gather we continue to have more help coming our way. Let me know if you need anything of me.
