After the Ilharess' anouncements the previous cycle, the new faern named Lairil has taken to patrolling some of the tunnels and gathering materials for his own collection. After a day of patrolling, the faern holds his first sale of ingredients and merchandise within the camp for the lucky attendants. Potions, essences and molds are the sale of the day. The sale goes successful, with his stock being depleted within an hour.
All is not without chaos though. After the sale ends, a portal reminiscent of the one from the previous cycle appears once more within the camp. Weary and careful of the signs, the drow present prepare theselves for the inevitable. Only moments go by, and beholders arrive just like they did the previous time, and stone some of those present. Examining the portals up close though, the faern Lairil notices that there is no green sign this time, and it is also found out by one of the rothes that they cannot be entered.
Frantic to put a stop to this matter, the faern and those present work together in putting together the necessary components to perform a Dimensional Lock on the portal. During this time, a second portal is also opened, but luckily, enough components for two of the spell are gathered. The faern places the barrier on the portals as quickly as he can, and mentions that they will only last a week or so.
Those present are left contemplating how to strike back while the faern retires to his studies to find out where they came from. He makes sure to ask that any others capable of strong magic do the same and find a way to track the source of these portals.
