Mutilated corpse near Rimwood

A panicked traveler walks into the Royal Oak Inn and reports seeing a brutally murdered corpse by the river in Rimwood, on the path along towards the Royal Oak, he beckons any attendants to investigate.

The corpse is a naked seemingly Human male. A perceptive individual may identify him as a Yuan-ti Pureblood upon closer inspection of his features, which are more visible due to the exposed nature of the carcass. His stomach is cut open, his left leg is missing and his body is bruised and wounded in clear signs of a struggle.

"HERETIC" is carved on his forehead.
