| After sneaking through the first level of Tower of Sorciere, Shula has only been able to find hints that there must be more knowledge tucked away somewhere. The multiple contained extra planar creatures, as well as the unusual glowing earth-node thing indicate that there must be something more, something somewhere.
If only she could gain access to the library that has been whispered about, or better yet, the Master of the tower’s private chambers. But without a Qu’ellar broach to levitate with, such places are beyond reach . . . at least for now . . .

| Shula goes and finds a rat in the maze near the Dabel'kith house, she binds its feet together and starts to channel darkness spells into it. After a few spells go into it, and the rat is thoroughly soaked in the spells, she takes it to Shard's room in the folds of her robe, putting it in a box with holes.- Spoiler:

| Noon, on the sixth of the month Ches, year 1377, Shula kneels on the floor of Shard's room, drawing an arcane circle around her. She puts a bit of fleece on one end, exhaling slowly. Spreading her arms she starts a slow speech in a long dead language. She swirls her hands, her fingers dancing in motions impossible for anyone not practiced. Shadows start to spill out from the floor, wrapping themselves around Shula's legs, forcing themselves into her legs through her skin. She shakes as she pushes the magic into herself, the shadows in the room thickening. The mirror cracks. Her jaws clenches as she focuses herself, continueing the ancient speech, her fingers moving impossibly fast. Her hand splays wide, and for a moment a flash of light penetrates the room, before being quelched out by the growing shadows. The shadows dive into Shula's body, coming in through every pore, infecting every part of her body. Whatever light there may have been in the room becomes shrouded in magical darkness, thick as water. The darkness comes together for a moment, before a release of pressure sends Shula sprawling to the floor. | |

| After several hours pass, her eyes slowly open. The entire room is cloaked in magical darkness. The mirror on the wall has cracked and broken.
She touches her flesh, feeling it cool. Slowly, she crawls from the room. Sitting outside the door, catching her breath. | |
