Upon the Ramparts

*Ardylan begins to spend his time either patrolling along the river, or up on top of the newly-constructed walls. He spends hours upon hours on top of the walls, staring out into the distance and watching intently, shooing away anyone who comes to bother him.

One afternoon, he happens to look down from his spot atop the wall at the green-clad defenders guards milling around. They don't look particularly alert - at least, not enough to satisfy Ardylan - and thus he begins screaming orders at them from atop the wall.*

"STAND UP STRAIGHT! STRING THAT BOW! WHY IS YOUR WEAPON NOT CLEANED? THOSE BOOTS - POLISH THEM!"

*He even turns his attention to the gate, which currently stood wide open - much to Ardylan's annoyance.*

"WHAT GOOD IS A GATE IF YOU'RE GOING TO LEAVE IT OPEN LIKE THAT! CLOSE IT! NOW!"

*He continues on like this for some time before he stomps off across the length of the wall, down the stairs, and out onto the ground. Slamming the door behind him, he heads off into the woods again, muttering to himself the entire way.*

*The guards who were attacked twice this week and prevailed, would go to the Keeper and the Arms Major, telling them that the Nikerym is yelling at them for no reason and that he seems very irrational to them lately*

*An elderly sun elf with silvertinged hair regards the Nikerym from a distance. His green eyes stern and a visible frown on his face....he stands a moment looking over the wall and gate, resting a hand idly on his swordhilt..pondering as he watches the Nikerym leave.*

"that it should come to this" *mutters*

"walls of stone buildt by dwarves to protect a elven realm, By Corellon this place has truely fallen deep" *head shake* The woods was allways the best walls any one could want...have we lost the connection to this realm so much, that we must couer behind walls of stone *regards the stonework with disgust*

he then glances after the Nikerym..

"such behavior is unfit for a child of Corellon, one could expect such behavior from lesser sentient beings...but not from a true champion of Myth Drannor, a son of our lord Corellon...*stern look on the elderly face*

He takes in a deep breath and grumbles to himself before offering a respectfull nod to the guards..then the elderly war-priest of Corellon retuns to the city, mumbling about how days of old glory..will never retun if such behavior is torlerated...

his last words can be heard as he enters the cave..

"Myth Drannor MUST rise again...Corellon WILLS IT"
