Voices in the Dark

A small Jaluk can be seen walking the tunnels as well as the camp flitting in and of the shadows talking to himself.


Some may notice the occassional gasp in pain as he staggers and touches his back under his cloak.

*Dilarra watches from the shadows. She watches and does nothing. She watches and studies. Unseen, unheard, and ever watching, she is one with the shadows.*

*a small Jaluk flits in and out of the shadows singing to himself*

The itsie bitsie spiders spun their little threads... along came a Jaluk to dance amongst their threads

Ever into the shadows did this jaluk walk... for there alone do the shadows talk.

*snickers*

*He disappears into the tunnels yet still his humming can be heard*

So dos see it is a matter of unbalance... one must keep them at each others throats... far easier to dance along the threads if the spiders are busy with other flies.

Nau nau... they are but figments... OH...dos are correct are they ussta or ussta subconcious figments... *shrugs and laughs* In the end nau matter... it is bound to bring beautiful chaos either way abbil.

Xas it builds... soon with enough whispers things will happen... *snicker and nods to the shadows* Xas dance along the threads... we must be careful abbil... the spiders are hungry and we will naut be a snack to them *snickers*

*stops and looks around with a small smile*

Dos speak truly abbil... *nods sagely* Perhaps... our subconcious is tricky... what game do dos think it plays.... Xas the words spoken this cycle we will see... perhaps there is something there.

What do dos suppose we will find abbil *looks to the shadows and nods* Xas dos are most wise abbil... usstan concur.

*the small jaluk once again steps into the shadows only to reappear farther down still talking to the shadows*

Well abbil so many things to watch... Xas many new faces and new threads to follow.... oh xas dos are correct busy busy.

*sits up and looks at the blank pages in his book and then slowly rotates the book on his lap until he stops and scrutinizes the page with a smile*

Oh very bweal... very bweal del'heen... do dos see this abbil *points to the blank page* most interesting wouldnt dos say. We will have to dance the threads abbil and find out the web and who it is to catch... *snickers* Nau naut udos abbil... xas we are to brilliant to be caught in such a manner.

*closes the book and puts it back in his pack and stands up looking around* Where are we abbil... what do dos mean... usstan did naut dos lead udos here.... *makes a slapping gesture towards the shadows* Oh very well it was ussa stop dossta whinning.

*smiles and starts to walk away from the bench on the cliff side flitting in and out of the shadows still talking to the shadows around him*

*The small Jaluk walks back into the embracing darkness of the caves*

*He looks to the shadows*

Well abbil that was bwael fun *snickers* The Jalil Kivvil will make a bwael addition to the camp *nods sagely* Xas dos are right usstan am a very kind jabbuk.. *nods again* Xas usstan did give the Jaluk a chance to save her, but he was naut so bright....*snickers* Xas it is hard to be as brilliant as udos.

*stops and looks shocked* Oh dos are a devious abbil... xas we did mark her and we will come and visit her often. Do dos wonder if she thinks why her Jaluk would naut sacrifice itself for her... usstan guess she does naut matter as much as she thought she did. *smiles at the shadows* Dos are correct.. usstan am a truth bringer.. usstan did her a favor and showed her how much she really mattered to him... she should thank udos.

*flits in and out of the shadows as he walks past the imps and elementals still talking to the shadows*

*The small Jaluk walks back into the darkness of his home*

*sighs* They alwayes respond the same way abbil *he looks to the shadows and nods* Xas usstan know but what is the fun in killing them abbil... we will naut get what we wish if we must kill them everytime.

*nods and snickers* Xas eventually one will answer the way we wish.. .and that one will work with udos. *nods sagely* Xas then we will get what we want... *snarls* Dirty Darthiiri and their barbed arrows.. .always hunting udos *sniffles* Xas we are nau danger to them... oh but now they have saddened udos abbil... *nods with a small evil grin* Oh xas abbil one should naut sadden udos.

Perhaps the Fiery One will learn something... if naut a tool of nau use to udos will be discarded. *smiles sadly* The poor Jalil... we were to much for her and she ran from udos *snickers to the shadows* Dos are right Bwael... they do naut fear udos... oh but they will come to fear udos.

*flits in and out of the shadows still talking with the shadows past the spiders moving down deeper into the earth*

*A small Jaluk lies on a sofa in the middle of Szith-Morcane watching the Denizens of the city pass him*

*He smiles to the shadows* "Well abbil much has changed... we have been back a few cycles now and there seems to be little chaos." *snickers and nods his head* "Xas usstan know usstan know... but perhaps the spiders have fed and are now all bloated and sleepy."

*Ponders and tilts his head slightly towards the shadows* "Perhaps abbil... the Sargtlin does show promise." *nods his head again* "Xas he does remind ussa of Quel'Saruk Naralad... they both seem to suffer from to many hits to the head. Perhaps we should get him a thicker helm!"

*squirms around on the sofa with a small smile* "But this is nice... better than the dirt of the old camp abbil. One can imagine that a Yathrin's own bottom may have sat where our head rests.... it is as if we almost can imagine we rest our head on her lap." *snickers*

*the small jaluk falls into the shadows still laughing*

*A small Jaluk leaves the Broken Staff with a final glance to the two sitting at the table*

*He nods to the shadows* "Xas xas.. the undead again... strange they are searching for something... xas xas usstan will help the Sargtlin and his Jaberess... usstan do naut know... because chaos seems to follow him... do we need another reason?" *shakes his head with a small chuckle* "Nau we do naut need any other reason"

"What make dos of the other Jaberess.... xas usstan concur.. she interests ussa as well." *laughs at the shadows" We will dance the threads of course.... the spiders will naut feed on us... walk the threads as we have always done."

*Tilts his head to the Shadows* Usstan do naut know why usstan tell the stories... perhaps there is some thing there ... perhaps we really are Ghosts... we are echos of the past."

*throws a rock into the shadows* "Vith off... it is naut because usstan like the sound of my own voice!"

*A small Jaluk walks towards the Crystal Caverns stepping in and out of shadows*

Secrets, secrets, secrets... that is all we seem to find abbil. *chuckles* Xas usstan do like secrets... do dos know why abbil... oh xas dos are a cunning one abbil and most correct... Secrets is naut about taking power.. nau nau nau... Secrets are about power being given to dos *laughs*

*stops suddenly and looks at the shadows* But in this case we do naut like the secrets do we abbil... nau... something stirs and the time for secrets are over... Dance the threads we must... find the source he says.. the threads are tangled we tell him... oh but the more we look it is more like the threads are braided abbil... do we follow it to the end... *nods* Xas usstan think we must.

The Sargltin.. the Jaberess... the ones in Red... each their own thread.. but each thread braiding together... it is a dangerous web abbil.. Yath, undead... xas so many things *chuckles* But dos are correct .. this is what makes us so interested in it... the beautiful Chaos.

*The Jaluks laughter echo off the Crystal Cavern seeming to come from every direction yet no sign of him can be seen*

"Did dos see her abbil... hmmm xas she is now Ilharess.. our little spider has grown since the days of our whispers to her as a Yathrin" *he nods to the shadows"

"Xas the Yath'tallar Lililith ... old compared to the rest... dangerous as well." *smiles and snuggles down in the cushions* "Xas usstan see the Chaos swirling as well abbil... bwael ... naut bwael... it should matter little to udos as long as it is Chaos."

"scowls at the Shadows* "Xas usstan have naut forgotten what he asked of udos... dos know we are walking those threads .... The Sargtlin, the Jaberess, the Yath and the ones in Red... xas xas... there are many threads to investigate after all so he will need to be patient... like his Lord. Now stop nagging ussa can dos naut see this is where the Ilharess sat... close dossta eyes...xas see it is like the Ilharess sits with us abbil....
