He is watching...

As usually Karovir can be seen walking along the road east of Shadowdale but this time it's different. He seems to stop by sometimes and watch the tower for a little while before continuing his way. It also seems that he is passing by at different times, sometimes early in the morning and sometimes at night.

Zaburra would be seen there on occassions, conversing with those by the tower. Perhaps issuing orders.

One day Karovir stood there just looking at the tower and the surroundings again when two persons approached him. They were obviously drunk an in order to prevent them from getting even more drunk Karovir accepted their offer and drank as much of their liquor away as possible thinking it would be too dangerous for travelers to walk around so drunk when undead roam around.

Soon a group of Zhentarim would arrive and after another of their famous word exchanges Karovir left as soon as he said all he had to say being not foolish enough to challenge a battalion of Zhentarim alone.

When his duty will bring him back to the area is another question though. It might happen rather sooner than later...

From the edge of the forest an elven ranger watches these things quietly observing and being prepared to act if necessary.

A finely-dressed man in a blue tunic and shirt witnessed the exchange, having been invited over to the flowers to share a drink. Never one to pass up such an invitation from a lovely lady, he joined them for a time - up until armed forces showed up and outnumbered their little impromptu party.

He quickly shuffled over to the other side of the road, away from the man who stood arguing with the Zhentarim, focused mostly on staying out of the way should things get violent.

"Bloody 'ells," he muttered as one of his drunken companions wandered back into town to use the well as a latrine. "I don't know what I've walked into, but 'is place is insane if 'e drunken rabble tries to make 'reats on town guards..."

The swordhands would watch out for Karovir as well, reporting his sighting directly to their superiours.
The changing of guards becomes random and more swordhands and would guard Shadowdale East now.

All that doesn't seem to bother Karovir much. He simply continues passing by and watching now and then.

Again he is seen walking along the road either from Fox Ridge or from the Crossroads and stops watching the tower. Sometimes he puts on glasses and starts to scribble something. Now and then he stretches out his arm and narrows an eyes waving his thumb around, probably measuring something...

Audrey stands at the guard post, watching the road in an attempt to catch a glimpse of this Grey Knight she has heard so much about. If the guards nudge and chuckle at what they've seen Karovir do, Audrey would stare them into silence. "Never underestimate your enemy, you never know what passion and chaos can add to a battle." She then looks out around the area again before returning to Shadowdale.
