The Zhentarim's Captives

Standing at the edge of Eastern Shadowdale, in the trees and out of sight of the city sentries, Ardylan spends hours standing. He watches and waits. Only those who approach him know what he's waiting there for. Eventually, Magnus Dacre and backup exit the city and approach. The hostility between the two is evident from the beginning.

After a fight that left one Zhentarim member unconscious and another at death's doorstep, the motionless and bleeding body of Ardylan Tyrn'athiem can be seen carried through the streets of Shadowdale by Mary Bernson and into the Zhentarim barracks. Once Magnus Dacre and Sandra received proper healing, they limp in afterwards.

Hours upon hours pass, and those with keen hearing who get close to the barracks might hear the screams, curses, and crying of tortured elves. It is not until after the sun sets does Dacre emerge from the Zhentarim barracks. Other members come and go, but Ardylan is not yet seen again...

Late the next day, Ardylan can be spotted traveling from the depths of Rimwood toward the Royal Oak, wearing a warm black wool robe and leaning heavily on what appears to be an enchanted staff of sorts. He wears an eye-patch and is drenched from walking in the rain.

Friends help him into the basement to recover.

After hearing of Ardy and Arjay's capture and what Magnus did to them, Sierra makes her way to Shadowdale to speak with one of her contacts. While there, she is arrested on charges of murder.

Screams of pain are heard from the Temple's depths throughout the night and day. She has not been seen for at least a day.

A body can be seen being carried from the temple to the rocks outside of town. The face is unrecognizable, but it is the body of a female. It is placed sitting up for all to see who enter town. The symbol of bane has been carved into her chest.

Soon after her body is placed, a tiefling is seen retrieving the body and carrying it off.

Danny stands on the outskirts watching the tiefling carrying the body.
He cannot make out who the female is, but he keeps watching them with slight concern in his eyes.
