Immigrant Farmers

Throughout the slums of Zhentil Keep, Zhentilar soldiers are dispatched in squads. Together, they move through the streets, shoving reproductions of a poster into the hands of the poor and the hungry, each soldier getting rid of his own pile as quickly as they can to get the unpleasant task over with.

Late one evening, a large group is seen making its way down the Northride toward Shadowdale. Most among them are in brown, ragged clothing, hungry peasants, but among them and moving ahead a number of familiar figures march. They are members of House Unterminox, the Zhentarim, and the Church of Bane, and like dark shepherds they guide their flock towards the dale and its farms they will call home.

Trusted Servant Unterminox leads the farmers to the temple for a hot meal and a much needed rest before taking them out into the farmlands the next day to show them to their new homes.

A young man clad in priestly robes of warm colors watches the crowd as it passes. His eyes seem to dart from one ragged figure to another, as if noting each of them, but he never sets eyes upon the Zhentarim soldiers themselves. Once they have passed, he walks back towards town seemingly lost in deep thought.

For a moment Ticla stops cleaning the streets in central Shadowdale, and reports to the nearest Zhentarim guard asking if her services as a slave are needed in the farms as well.

As early dawn approaches, Danny, on his daily journey out of Shadowdale, stops and spots the farmers. He curiously watches them as they pass.

Once they've passed, he moves on, leaving the town.

A Orc dressed in blue looks for an official to offer his services to the farmers in improving their fields and trying to help them get their planting done before it gets too late in the season.

The handsome and plainly clad bard looks up briefly from one of the posters he holds. As the entourage passes his left eyebrow begins to arc. He blends into the common folk well, having shed his trademarked sombrero. Hair has actually begun to grow atop his once mo-hawked crown, now a tangled mess from recent travels. Yet his dark chocolate eyes remain, glancing to and fro, always observant to the slightest anomaly. Mental notes are definitely taken.

Now after some days have passed the new farmers can be seen wandering about in Shadowdale,when times allows, speaking with everyone who isen't busy, trying to make new acquaintances, especially with the resident farmers.
They also visit the Church of Bane on a daily base, those who listen to their prayers hear they thank the dread lord for finally having a home again.
