Pamphlets for everyone!

Vanguard Dacre is seen handing out pamplets to each of shadowdales citizens, going from door to door and farm to farm. His goose step refined and proper, his boots polished and uniform resplendant.

Citizens of the glorious dales we are in troubled times and seek to remove ourselves and prosper once again. Crops are dying, people are hungry and children are freezing. Why is this so? Because there are forces at work that would see the lawful structure that has fed and clothed your families for many winters fall. They are not concerned with you or your well-being or your fortunes but with their own agenda. They do not care if your child is starving, nor do they care if you have wood to heat your homes, or food to feed your families.

The Rebels and Elves of Myth Drannor do not care about you. They want your land to feed their own families; they would expel you, cast you aside and leave you for dead. What can you do to prevent this? Stand with the Zhentarim and forces of Bane. Help rid our lands of these treacherous beings and ensure that a lawful rule will endure. Grow your crops with pride and vigor, stand against the rebellion!

Serve Bane, Serve the Zhentarim, and Defeat the rebels

After returning from one of her patrols, Novice Auranna sees the Vanguard distributing these pamphlets. Curious as to what they say, she decides to approach. She is sure to wait until he is not in the middle of speaking with anyone, then she steps up to him and salutes him, holding the salute until he allows her to release it.

"Vanguard Dacre." She says as she salutes.

The meticulous zhent observes his subordinate, his eye glances her presented attire then her form, then the posture of her salute. He pursues his lips for a moment, and then demonstrates a proper salute. Slamming fist to chest, clicking his heels with pamphlets still in his hand.

"Novice, have you anything to report?" he says in a low tone.

She shakes her head and eyes the pamphlets in his hand. Her attire is very clean and neat. Her robes have changed since last he saw her. They are now more clean cut and professional. She holds her posture straight.

"No Sir. I've just been patrolling where the fire was and nothing suspicious as of yet. Permission to speak freely, Sir?" She says as she stands at attention.

Magnus nods slightly "At ease Novice, and speak your mind"

She stands at ease and points to the pamphlets.

"May I ask what those are, Sir?"

He grins and quickly offers her one of the Pamhlets. "Novice, do you know the answer to the Rebel question?"

She takes the pamphlet and looks it over. "I only know that the Rebels are scum and deserve to be punished as such..."

She reads it over. "Sir...this is extremely well written. The people should be grateful to you for giving these out." She says genuinely.

Iwean reads the pamplet. Ponders the implications of this and the recent farm burning. So who is that is befouling the land? Rebel or Zhent?

a human woman speaks quietly to the farmers.

anyone who believes this nonsense should just a look at the laws they have posted.

does anyone believe that someone who summons undead or demons, someone who is allied with drow and orcs, cares about you or your families.

they are happy to raise your taxes so high that you can't feed your families. if you die then will simply bring more scum from zhentil keep to work your lands.

*Swordhand Fett gathers some crates and climbs upon his proverbial soap box. He speaks loudly, his voice echoing thru Shadow Dale*

Citizens! It is easy to point the finger of blame, and say "this person is to blame, and that one also," and in the end nothing is ever resolved. As I explained to an elf earlier today, what many consider to be 'harassment', the Zhentarim would deem to be vigilance! We, the humble Servants of Bane seek to preserve Law and Order throughout the Dales; for what is a society with out Laws from which to govern the people by...in a word, CHAOS!!!

*he lowers his voice*

Perhaps, now, some of you think that you will remain neutral, and not be swayed to take a side...but that, citizens, that is not the answer! By choosing to remain neutral, you only delay the inevitability of the end. ALL LIVES are affected in time of war; do not hope to assume that yours too will not be!

The Rebels would have you believe that theirs is a righteous cause, steeped in reason and rationality; and yet they cannot look past their noses without seeing a lie! Better yet, to stand STRONG, stand TRUE, stand for JUSTICE, LAW and ORDER! Seek to become humble Servants of Bane, seek to know His will, and to cast off the shackles of the Rebellion!

*He gazes outward, not looking at anyone, but seeing everyone; steps off the crates, and walks away in silence*
