Drow hate the sunlight, it hurts them

Their skills better suit the dark generally

But if they wanted to strike under the burning orbb they could?

Are there any Yath or Lolthian edicts against walking under the sun?

If they are caught out late and the sun rises it is just very uncomfortable for them

Is it generally regarded as a disgusting and indecent thing to do?

I know Drizzt isn't the pure lore thing, bla bla bla..
BUT, I remember the priestess scorning Drizzt for standing out there in the early dawn, when the sun was rising.

Drow HATE the sun, HATE sunlight with all their heart. Almost just as much as they hate elves.

It depends on the creature, if someone has lived hundreds of years underground in the darkness, their iris would be burned if they suddenly stared out in the sun.

Imagine yourself after you sleep, you get up and it is pitch dark, then suddenly the blinds open and the sun shines into your eyes, it burns right? Now imagine that feeling tenfold, because you've been in the dark for over a hundred straight years.

// there are no edicts, commands or server rules that prevent drow from being in the sunlight //

And contrary to the surfacers w/o ability to see in darkness, when they are in UD, drow have mechanical penalties for being in daylight

Unfortunately, in NWN2, drow get penalties even during nighttime.

Even worse, surfacers don't get blind penalties or anything like it in the Underdark.

And worst: So many don't RP the UD a dangerous place to be. Just as some drow don't even care about the sunlight.

It's something I'd love to see changed, but I'm sure this is not priority one on the list Wink
