Missive at Dawn

A Dawnknight, holding a missive, approaches the Lathander Settlement just before the Sun rises and stands there, allowing the residents, once refugees to concregrate. Throughout the whole asembly he remains calm and vigilant.

My Bothers and Sister, of the Morning Lord, Lathander. I admit I am not one to shout out, but rather act. If any of you have Love for the Morning Lord, and wish to join his Church, be it either as a Member of the Clergy, a Knight of the Order of Aster, a Disciple of Sun Soul, please do not hesitate to come forward and speak with me.

He opens the missive, and begins to read from it, a single tear streams down his cheek.

We have all seen the terrible destruction wrought by the Zhentarim, It is therefore I am calling to Arms any who wish to join the War. Yes, I wll admit there will be hard times, but Faith in the Morning Lord will keep us all true. Through Virtue and Honor, we Protect and guide, with the graces of Light. We, the Children of Dawn, have a duty. To Teach others the Path of Light.

He dips his head, kneels with his greatsword hilt up in his hands, he prays to Lathander.
" Morning Father, I greet you this Morning. Watch over those gathered here. Of the graceful Chauntean's, the Lady Glamerie, the Akh-Velahr, the Residents of Myth Drannor, those out in the field watching the Zhentarim committing further autrosities, I ask nothing for myself. I this New Dawn, shine you light upon the Dales"

He stands, sheathing his greatsword, he turns and bows to the Rising Sun.

So I ask to you, Will you stand and protect your lives, your family, your homes, Will you protect the Dales from further Onslaught.

He can been seen giving orders to Knights of Lathander, and Dawnbringers alike. He would approach the Settlement were many had gathered wondering what this was about. He would wear his cloak and hood, yellow in color, his face stern and emotionless. He would then call out to the People gathered

I, Dawn Marshal Smolder, here before you all. To ask this. A Man came here not but a day ago. he aided in the quelling of the Werewolves and Beasts Of Malar. It was from this he sent fiends to slay us all. Had it not been for, my Brethren, of the Dawnspire this may have come to be. Alas, his feeble attempt to sway and swoon my mind were to his own folly. For I know now what he is. Yes , yes he is a Pact-mage, one most foul. I would offer this, to all here gathered. The Pact-Mage, Naldur, is a Wanted criminal. If he is found to be wandering the Settlement or Farm, the Knight and Dawnbringers have been ordered to cut him down. If any of you, here happen upon him, bring him in chains before the temple where he will be imprisoned and his fate decided. A Reward is offered.

There is hope,here. Hope to drive us forward and from this darkness, it is hope in our fellows, that will shine so brightly, that the evil here in the Dales will flee like the cowards it corrupts.

Apparently . . .

Werewolves attacked the Lathander settlement near Myth Drannor. Details seem to be nearly nonexistent but somehow eight settlers were killed and fifteen were injured during the attack.

Dawnbringer Marianne Standt is rather busy helping families and friends deal with the loss of their loved ones and assisting them with making funeral arrangements. She tends to the wounded in whenever she's not assisting the grievers.

((If anyone wants to talk to or have anything to do with Marianne over the next couple of days you'll have to PM me or let me know in game. It seems that she's got enough to keep her occupied in the temple for quite some time. . .

After one of his training sessions with the refugees Karovir would go and check on the settlement. He might be seen offering healing magic if needed and can be heard grumbling silently whenever someone says "thank you, priest."

The Dawn Marshal can been seen setting up a triage tent, assisting the Clerics and Knights now patrolling the Settlement, aiding those who were injured, by wrapping their wounds with bandages and giving out potions to heal the sick. If other were to go to the Orchard behind the Merchant tent and Stall they would see large amounts of blood leading toward the Forest. He doesn't speak to, Marianne or Karovir as he, is responsible for the Safety of the Settlers. If seen, his eyes would have a near dead look about them, a resolve to hunt down those responsible for this attack.

Good that we've been working together to prepare a group of farmers to fight and to have a emergency evacuation plan,

the elves can surely track these beasts and hunt them all to death,

be alert, double the guard for the next few days.
