Fohgar Ironhouse burial

Dear dalelanders

The former Thane of Ironhouse, Fohgar Ironhouse, has recently passed away and we are now to honour his deeds in the dales before his final rest along the old thanes.

Fohgar led the clan for 2 years, where he swore on behalf of clan to free shadowdale of the Zhents. He was a great warrior who retired in time to live his last days peacefully with his clansmen. He went from a travellign dwarf to a leader of a now strong and glorious clan settled in Rimwood.

To mark his path we will all meet in Shadowdale at the old skull in, where Fohgar first arrived to the dales. Each will get a torch and we will proceed to the sacred hill of Ironhouse, which was where our first Thane -Crudak Shattershield - had visions from Clangeddin to search for the halls once lost in history. Later the hills was blown by the Shadovar following dwarven resistance to their goals, but now partially restored by druids. You will on the way see the first stones been tilted toward teh halls new grand opening.

Upon the sacred hill we wiill speak our respect about the former Thane and then proceed to Ironhouse halls where dwarves in tradition will bury Fohgars corpse with the old Thanes. After the ceremony we will all drink in the Ironhouse Tavern and remind us of the glory which Fohgar lay the foundation for.

Except for the actual part where Fohgar will be placed with the old thanes, anyone not considered enemy of clan will be welcome to join the ceremony to whatever degree they like as long as  respectful tones are held. Musicians are most welcome and will be payed according to contribution, poems and ballads about the deeds of Ironhouse equally honoured.

May the soul of the great Thane feast through all eternity in the Hall of his forebearers.

Valerie reads it over and says absolutely nothing at all. Not a single word. When she's finished with it she heads into the House of Plenty and prays at Chauntea's altar for several hours.

Despite of having issues with Ironhouse in the bast, Leo doesn't accept the news about Fohgar's death well. He sadly looks in the Ironhouse broken doll he still posses, and remembers the old days. Leo certainly wanted one day to heal this relationship, but now he knows that that day will never come again. He plans to show up and escort Fohgar to the afterlife, and to help him find peace, but if Fohgar spirit would show any kind of hostility if this Lyon appears on his day, Leo would simply retreat from the burial event.

Valtore arrives well after the Ironhouse party has started and most of the clan is drunk. His work with the "Travelers" in Myth Drannor having made him lose track of time. However he received the message about the Dancing Moon. He nods to the messanger and gives him the strongest drink the dwarves have to celebrate the passing of the Great Thane Fohgar. He then tosses the message in the fire and "forgets" it. The clan has other worries then helping drinking buddies of Zhents anyway.

He takes a bottle of Fohgar's favorite and sits quitely in the vault and drinks alone. He also takes to his pipe and the room is soon blanketed in a sweet smelling smoke while a gnomish music box plays. The candles flicker in the room.

Celovar would of made an appearence showing deep reverence and respect. His would of removed his bandana during the ceremony and does as instructed and asked.
