Ravossel's grove

(( I'm opening this up for the folks that live live in Ravossel's & Donnleen's grove or for any one else that wishes to interact. And heres a related topic for this this one. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ))

* In resent days when Ravossel and Donnleen are not in the City of song. They both can be seen adding to the winter rations va smoked meats, backed nuts, dried fruits and so forth. Along with troll fangs, and earth essence.*

On a snowy night when the moon is bright and full in the night sky, and just be for her mid~night prayers to Lurue. Ravossel sings a song that her mother, and older sister use to singer to her a long time ago.

Early one morning Ravossel puts to gether a traveling bag. Consisting of.

. five potions of cure critical wounds. . Rod of Holy water ( 18 uses )
. five potions of heal. . Rode of Bless weapon ( 13 uses )
. five potions of bless. . Full water skin
. five potions of antidote. . Powch of dryd fruits & mixed nuts ( one days ration worth)
. five scrolls of remove diseas . Two pounds of smoked, & curd meats
. four raise dead scrolls. . Small pouch filled Radom mixed nuts, and bird seeds.
. Two lesser restoration scrolls. . Four empty flasks.
. Five +10 healing kits . Four empty belt pouches.
. Righting choral, and black scrolls. . needle, and thred
. Survival blade ~ mainly use for cleaning fish, skinning, collecting herbs, and other mondane tasks.

. Notes. The scrolls are in a water tight scroll case. Each potion, flask and are wrapped, and tucked away safly.
The items are slit between Ravossel and Donnleen, with Ravossel caring the more easly breakable items, with Donnleen the not so much breakable. If the burden is not to grate ( eather in weight, or bulky~ness) Ravossel would hall every thing. ( str 18 )

. Quarter staff ( 2d4 bludgeoning, concentration+5, spell craft +3 Weight reduction 50% )
. Her Naginata (+3 spear)
. long bow ( 1d6 fire & 1d6 ice) ~ 25 arrows
. A blue Bandana (pm for details)
. Blue Monk stile robes. Holy symbol of Lurue over left breast. ( pm for details).
. Maching blue belt to the robes (pm for details)
. Black feat, and shin wrappings ( pm for details).
. Heirloom Neckless & pendent of Luru. ( pm for details )
. A maching blue cape to the robes. ( pm for details)
. Black Wrist & hand wrappings ( pm for details )

After the morning meal, and a lasts check through of the supplies. Ravossel, and Donnleen head out for the first time to really explore the full expanse of there new home wood.

The pair start with the northern section. Slow mapping out, and exploring any significant, or suspicious places if there's any. All the while keeping a eye for any signs for aberrations, or friendly woodlen folk like Dryads, and like.

While taking there time to explore the north they would mainly try to live off the land, take note of were rare herbs can be found ( survival 44 ) and rely on stealth to avoid danger, or to get the drop on the enemy. ( hide 16 or 26 with buff, move silently 16, spot 45, listen 43 )

A small black wisp of a woman roughly 4ft tall.. maybe a little taller, ghosts around the grove, often, she can be found shooing away the gnoll scouts that frequent the area, those that are lucky enough to leave, do so.. those who arnt.. are never seen again. This ghost of a creature is not often seen, but when she is, she would have nothing in her feral green eyes

A felid moves between trees, slowly entering the claimed territory, and fully aware of it. But it does not venture deeper, and instead announced himself with a roar, roar known to Ravossel. It seems like the felid is searching for her, but wishes not to invade the grove, and instead seeks approval to move in deeper. If no response is given, the felid would turn and leave.

*Upon seeing this hin Ravossel, would tosses her a coin pouch stuff with coin. With brigh smile* good work at keeping the Gnolls away.

*some time after the encounter with the shadowy figer. Ravossel hear the Felid's calls and returns the in the like in approving calls. The calls come from deep ink the wester side of the grove. When the Felid dus Ravossel she's easy to tell that she's fully exploring the aera very detailed maner. Making small maps, and making note on them.

The felid raises on his legs and turns into a man, a shaman. He approaches to Ravossel with a closed jar in his hand. "Greetings from the spirits" the shaman says "I wish I had better reason to visit your glade, druidess, but there is a corruption lurking through the earth and the life that grows on it, here in Shadowdale Woods. I have been trying to reach the Druid's Circle, but their grove seems empty, and none of them answers my call. You could be the only druidess left still walking these lands. I know that I have ruined the peace within your glade, when I allowed Mark to poison me with his words, but I hope that chapter is now closed behind us, and that we can work together against the possible threat." The Lyon Shaman waits to see what will Ravossel say.

* The Lyon shaman finds Ravossel in very small clearing were a tree of some size fell quite some time ago, liken, ferns, and many more critters now call the fallen tree home. In her lap is a stack of papers with charcoal sketches.*

As for being the Druid I'm not, I'm probly the last well known Druid. There's one that lives at house-of-redemption, two more that love here *Motions to the sounding woods*, another two that eather line with in or about shadowdale, *posses for a moment* then there's the city of song with there Druid gaurd, and Val now lives there's as well. But you are right in the fact that the druid's clerical has disbanded.

As for the taint you have to be more clear of with one you speek of. For you see there is the Malar wolfs that hunt and kill every thing in sight, there's two troll infestations, there's six diferent hords of the walking dead, there's the forest of the dead, were one of thees hords resides, there's the Yuan-ti taint, and the Beastman.

*Ravossel then looks up from the charcoal sketch of the Dryad to look at Lyon.*

"If I had knew that today's druids dwell in cities and houses, that's where I would have seek them out." Lyon Shaman presents a closed jar with corrupted earth and rotting goo. "My sister collected example of this from the Shadowdale Woods. The wood spirits there are no longer at peace, they are hostile and tainted. They attacked my siblings, and the source of this corruption is way too familiar to the old enemy that old circle during Lyon era faced." Lyon shaman walks near Ravossel as he explains more: "I was told that he sought us Lyons specifically, he probably does not know that our homeland is not here, but it is here were we have defeated his seed. I am talking about the Blighter druid and Mother of all Plagues, who's hands have touched these grounds here before, and made all druidic magic useless, while their taint began to grow and eat the whole Dalelands. We performed a ritual in the grove, destroyed the seed and restored land and power to all druids in this place, who could then heal corruption further. But we never faced the Blighter druid. He never clearly showed himself to us, yet he was able to inflict such pain to the lives on the wide scales. Each time a druid attempted to heal a plant or animal in Dalelands, they became abominations and through pain exploded. Our sister Maya destroyed the seed planted at the base of the great tree within the druid's grove and helped us complete the ritual. And we through that we will never see this blighter again. I certainly hope that I am mistaken about this, and that there is something lesser threatening this time, something we could face quickly, but it does not make any sense why would anyone else seek specifically us Lyons, we have no enemies here. We were the one who stopped his plans before, and that is what makes me believe that he is back for a new round."

Here's what needs to be dun.

One we need to take more samples of this Tain from the shadowdale wood, from four places that are far apart. One from the South, north, east, and west. In all we need to take four samples from each place. *dus some quit mental math* we'll need sixteen Jars, then I'll take thees jars to to some researchers I know that can hope fully unlock this plage's secretes.

*sighs very heavily*

To help keep this plague from spreading *narrows her eyes* any animal found tainted with this plague must be put down painlessly, and burned long with wats around it. *sighs* this we'll keep it from spreading further.

Each place that the plague is tainting the lands mark it well with sticks painted a bright red, and mark thees places on a map. Then once the research is dun we can go back and fully destroy it. *Posses for a moment and taps her chin some.* a Weapon that does positive energy damage destroys taint. *grins abit to some memory* like it's not even funny. So if you have such a weapon try it on some taint in Shadowdale wood.

*jumps off of the fallen tree she was sitting on, and start to pack her things up.*

Lets head to Shadowdale and pick up sixteen jars that can be easily closed

*Ravossel takes her time to pack up so she can collect her thoughts and lesion to what the Lyon shaman to speek.*

The Shaman follows druidess into the city to buy more jars, it has been long time since a shaman and a druid would join together to protect these lands. "I do not have a weapon with positive energy damage, but I can channel such energy through curing spells. This task will not be easy, if we need to burn down forest and its life so we can regrow it again." Shaman buys the jars and shares them with Ravossel. "I hope we do not have to slay many animals or destroy many plants, because it can heavily change ecosystem, and not to mention the chaos that would appear in spirit world." When nearing the Shadowdale Woods, the Shaman skin would cover itself in oak, making him immune to the poisons and diseases. "Here we are." *Ravossel sights with a hint of dred* if it's the same plague that stuck this land is the same one from two years ago our Divine gifts will not work on it, such spell like a healing spell only made it spred faster.

*While in town Ravossel by two small spade shovels, so that they do't even touch the samples. Along with some more paper, charcol sticks, and a can of bright red paint.*

If any animal it's severing from this plague, *sighs very heavly* it'll be more humane to put them to rest.
If we find any tainted places, mark it well with painted sticks, *holds up the can of paint* and mark it on the map. It's easer to find laiter on.

*when he dus is bark thinking, Ravossel turns her skin into stone. Then motions for him to take the lead.*
Lets start with the nother part of shadowdale and take four northern samples.

The shortly after another evil fey spider attack across the lands. Shadowdale wood, crosse roads, Shadowdale it's self, east Shadowdale, and finally ending in Harper's hill aka bugbear land. Ravossel spends the night in prayer for the strength to remove the tainted land splotches that are so close to Lurue's glade.

The fallowing morning Ravossel gets up, and heads to one of the tainted land spores in hopes of healing it. Upon coming to the first one, Ravossel takes her spear and plants the spear's tip I to the tainted soil, so that the positive energy from the spear can freely flow into the tainted soil. Then Ravossel focuses, the fallowing spells in order in hopes to remove each of the tainted patches of land. Ravossel fist uses neutralize poison, then remove disease, fallowed up by restoration, and then to top it off Ravossel uses mass cure critical wounds. Focussed right on the tainted spot. Ravossel then steps back, and takes a breath after exerting so much energy at once. She then watches, to see if her efforts had payed off any.

*After some time, and with tentative care, Ravossel returns the tainted lands back to there normal state.*

*Over the last two weeks Ravossel, and Donnleen have been spending most of there time in the deepest parts of Lurue's Glade. When they are not there or caring for the land, the pair watch the bugbear clan that's just on the out side of the glade. Donnleen, and Ravossel watch the bugbears a lot more vigorously then normal.*

*18 weeks have now past and still, and some Donnleen, and Ravossel seemingly no matter were they are, both of them return to the to rest, and insect to it's well being. With so many animals far to young to be away from there mothers this winter, and with the local plant life all but devised. Ravossel buys what food she can from the shadowdale markets to take back to the glade to feed the animals what she can with what she was able to buy. Ravossel then also picks out 20 of the smallest sapling, and castes Endure Elements upon them every morning, in the hopes that the saplings get a few extra months of growing time. *

*As winer rolls on Ravossel cares for thees 20 trees with diligent care, in the hopes that by the time spring rolls around that they will be of some size, and more likely to be able to love in the wilds. When they are moved and planted were the woods have been damaged.*
