Woodsguides and those with good eyes would notice, around areas that are commonly used for campsites and resting places throughout the Wood that many stacks of firewood are starting to be replaced with, or those places without stocks of firewood are now starting to be stocked with tightly tied bundles of brown grass. The bundles are tied so tight that they resemble the density and size of the logs once used at the sites. Anyone using them would find they burn just as long and as hot as wood.
Shah'in does not hide this process, and anyone seeing her do it could get a demonstration of how upon request. If asked she would explain that the spirits of the Wood abhor axes and the burning of their wood and that deadfall make wonderful homes for wildlife and eventually return to the land to sustain future growth. The grass logs are a traditional alternative her people use when they need heat.
