Maura drags some rocks up a hill...

And she looks good doing it!

As Karovir sees Maura building a shrine up the hill he approaches her and offers a slight smile.

"Hello, miss Maura. I see you are really building a shrine here. This spot is even much better than the one where I have built the other shrine. Would you like some assistance?"

Maura, her face red from the exertion, wipes some sweat from her brow.

"I'd appreciate that, Karovir," she says with a tired grin. She points toward the kobold mines. "I've been getting my stones from there. I thought they could use some air." She chuckles as she stands and stretches out her arms.

"There should be a lot of rocks around here but it seems you are a bit picky. Good then I get some rocks from over there..."

He walks down the hill again to go and get a few more rocks.

After many hours of hard work, Maura and Karovir finish the shrine. Maura wipes the sweat off her brow with the back of her tunic sleeve as the sun climbs above the horizon, bathing the surrounding farms in soft, golden light.

"Finally, it's done," she says exhausted. She closes her eyes and smiles as a cool breeze whips her hair about gently. "You're welcome," she chuckles, seemingly talking to no one in particular.

Maura, Ranya, and Locke climb the steep incline of Old Skull in the wee hours before dawn. They are soon joined by Karovir, a fellow windwalker. The four chat for a while, but when the dawn light breaks over the shrine, Maura cuts their conversation short. "Alright. Time to be serious now," she says with a smile. She directs the three to stand back behind the shrine and then she takes her place in front of it...

The consecration:

They then hurry off to investigate the smoke billowing up from the west of Shadowdale...

Karovir has been watching the consecration satisfied with what the priestess has done. Unfortunately they couldn't enjoy their work for too long because trouble was calling them elsewhere again.

Locke watches quietly as the holy water is poured, and the lightning strikes the shrine. He had seen many rituals done at the Red Falcon's, but this was so much different than what he had known. The work must have been tremendous to get these stones up here, he grins inwardly He's a lucky god, having someone like Maura followin' him. but his musings are cut short when the smell of smoke rises through the air.
