A human messenger at Krag doors

A human messenger with a wax sealed envelop reach the Krag directed to the Black Fang, he bears no insignia. If opened the letter says.


Black Fang,

We have the officer of yours know as Sarla, and we want the man know as Dacius, former officer of Shadowdale before be captured, tortured and apparently sacrificed as you know better than us. I offer the trade to be performed in a neutral land, in the area know as Edge of Cormathor, near the small port that leads to a common river route to the Crossroads and the Theather. Its an open area so no one will come with a number of soldiers without be noticed from far. Besides the prisoners we shall have only two people scorting each prisoner - if any of us comes with more, the other part can simply leave.
At a good distance, enough to faces be recognized, both prisoners will be released and allowed to walk to the others direction, trade finished each party returns to their homes, no fight, no blood, no betrayals.
If you agree with these terms give your answer by sending a single messenger to Rimwood, and we will meet in a date and hour you set, still we ask for no more than a few days. We hope you to be wiser than your former commander that transformed the exchange of Glamerie in an unecessary demonstration of inflated ego. After skimming the letter, the soldier comments.  "Yeah, I won't be going to no dwarf-stinking poophole.  That's loving stupid."  He then reaches into his pack and tosses a severed hand to the ground at the messenger's feet.  "Tell your master to consider that a down-payment.  Now love off."

When the messenger returns and the pack delivered to the Keeper, Nadin would sigh and check for any magical residues.

- Are they addicted to dismemberment? *he shrugs and packs the gruesome thing, giving a few coins to the messenger*. I'm sorry you had to return with this. Please accept these coins for the incovenience. May the good gods watch over you.

Said this the elf leaves back to the city.

Illinicker Unterminox descends from the Krag, flanked by two swordhands and prodding a maimed Dacius along with the point of his longsword whenever he slows. He says to the others, "keep an eye out; we're dealing with elves here and who knows what other mongrel race. They might try anything." He turns forward to Dacius again, and jabs him with the sword, whether he's slowed or not. "And you, don't try to make a break for it. Turns out you're worth something after all."

When reaching the woods at the base of the mountain, Illinicker gives his men a hand-signal, and the three form an all-round defense around the captive, wary of ambush.

"What's the matter, boys?" Illinicker says, lowering his mask. "The letter mentioned faces being recognized. Let's see who we're dealing with, and make sure that's Kenson while we're at it."

The man approaches and remove the cover, she is clearly Sarla

- Here she is, she will be released to walk at same of him.

Sarla just stands there, waiting to be released back to her people. Her face kept a neutral expression.

"Get walking." Illinicker jabs Dacius with the point of his longsword, as though he needed further impetus.

The man releases Sarla

You can walk now. Lets have this done finally.

Sarla nods and walks back to those waiting for her.

Sarla doesn't really seem to pay him any mind as she walks forward, returning to her line.

*as Dacius reaches the guard, he gives him a potion

- Drink this to acelerate your heal ((will cut a healing potion or give to a dm later))

- Let's move. the guard says to the other and to Dacius

"Dacius," Illinicker calls out as they depart, "I'll be seeing you soon, to finish what I started." With that, he holds up his free hand, and gives a wiggle of his fingers in mocking farewell and as a reminder of what Dacius had lost.

After reach a good distance, already inside the forest, Dacius can spot a few elves that now joined the the two guards, revealing themselves, moments later they disappear in the wilds again. The man who leaded the trade removes his helmet revealing himself.

- Good work Akh'Velahr, Arms Captain Wendal, say hello to our guest. Sir Dacius, I'm Keeper Nadin of Myth Drannor, and by our Grace benevolence we were here today to finally free you of the zhentarim dark fangs. I hope the healing potion helped you with the wounds inflicted to your body at least. As a necessary procedure I'll need to check your mind for external influences, and shield you from such, may I? Aditionally I would like you to come with us to Myth Drannor, I'm certain some members of the conciul would like to share some words.
