Moving to Shadowdale

As of late Malik can be seen walking around town gathering up large bundles of blankets some spare clothes and quantities of food. He would be gathering these supplies and heading to the Skull Inn and heading up stairs, seemingly stock piling what resources he can into the room trying to make it more comfortable with out breaking any of the rules for occupancy.

On one such occasion he enters into the room and locks the door behind him muttering to himself, he seems happy yet fretting over the other body in the room and making sure the other occupant is doing well. Clearly pampering them.

" 'ey t'ere, ya doin' alright? Got some more supplies not sure on what ya all were wantin' or needin'. Also was roamin' 'roun' an' been t'inkin'-o-just gettin' a place 'ere in Shadowdale. I'll take up some work 'roun' 'ere as well."

The man seems to be speaking in a somewhat fast manner as he frets over the other individual.

A tall woman helps Malik gather up supplies and bring them into the room, piling spare clothes on a desk and the food into bags. She gives a small smile and shakes her head. "Yeah, m'doin' fine. But, eh, glad ya found t'food....I swear I've been cravin' meat all bloody night." She raises a brow. "Though I migh' get that from m'mother. When she was carryin' me, she'd crave meat an' not much else." She snickers. "Although if ya spoil me too much, yer gonna drive me up the wall."

"I ain't against gettin' o' place 'ere." She frowns a bit. "It's t'closest safe town an' while I ain't crazy 'bout it, Freehaven's gone...I doubt Myth Drannor is much better off from wha' Rav says...an' at least 'ere, there are places outside fer me ta enjoy."

She tilts her head at him. "Ya should just think about applyin' fer militia captain 'er a deputy mayor. They'd be stupid not ta take ya an' I know ya would be good at either o' those."

Malik furrows his brows as he listens to her a moment pondering if all his fretting and worrying over her is now actually doing more harm then good. He looks down to the floor a moment still lost in thought the confliction raging on inside of him, its clear he wants to take care of her but doesn't want to smother her either. Finally after coming to a decision he looks to Asteria with a firm resolute gaze.

"Deal wit' it, 'cause as I see it ya aren't gonna be gettin' t'is kin'a treatment forever an' once ya're proper and t'e matter 'as been taken care of, I'm gonna be puttin' ya're arse back ta work."

He'd wink at her playfully, not meaning any insult if anything it was more of a challenge.

He places his index finger over his lips lightly tapping as he listens to her a moment in consideration until she has finished talking. He would slowly lower his hand from his face before he grins.

"Well I t'ink I've found a place I've already petitioned ta see if it was for sale not sure t'ough as I 'aven't heard anyt'in' on it yet but from what I was told could take awhile. I'm sure ya'll like it t'ough not far from 'ere still wit'in t'e walls plus its close ta a well which will 'elp."

He would reach up and flip his traditional wolf cap off then unclasp his sword belt with his sword still in the scabbard and lean it against the wall as he begins moving some of the items about trying to keep it a little more organized before he finally responds back to her last comment as he had given it some thought.

"Well I dunno 'bout joinin' t'e Militia or Deputy Mayor I was t'inkin' more alon' t'e lines-o-becomin' a law enforcer as I use ta 'elp out t'e former Sheriff Alexander when ever 'e needed it. T'ough not sure if'in I'd want t'e position-o-sheriff it can seem more like a diplomatic position but I'd consider Deputy Sheriff. As for t'e Deputy Mayor position.."

He'd trail off intentionally, his tone sounding a little more sour as he wrinkles his nose.

"Nah way in 'ell would I apply for 'at position. T'is town 'as got way ta many problems an' people always gripin' an' complainin' when a good majority of t'e problems are due ta t'em anyways. Bunch-o-hypocrites, I wouldn't last lon' t'ere at all nor would I want ta stay t'ere. Also.."

He turns and looks at the woman more then likely looming close by with a soft smile.

"Didcha tell any one?"

The warrioress shuffles through their stockpiled supplies. "Eh, well, I told Rav...Ranya migh' know then but I dunno." She chuckles. "T'druidess found me last night."

His smile quickly vanishes and is replaced with a pasty look of terror at the thought of her going through mood swings. The man who knew no fear in battle was suddenly near laying prostrate in front of his wife, his mind whirling with any kind of solution or something to either lessen or avoid the inevitable terrifying onslaught of destruction that she could possible rain down upon him in such a state.

"By t'e whimsical god of war, t'at is a rat'er terrifying t'ought. T'ough t'ere is a solution.. Sedation.. 'eavy Sedation"

He more or less mutters it quietly to himself for fear of what kind of wrath those simple two sentences could have called down upon him. He would shake his head trying to regain his composure before smiling back at Asteria.

"Well if'in ya want I can run over t'ere an' tell 'em all. I don't min' t'em knowin' an' its not like I'm tryin' ta 'id anyt'in'. 'ells I'm actually really 'appy actually."

He looks around the area and seems to consistently move things around trying to make things easier for Asteria and a bit more tidy, he definitely seems to be having a hard time holding still.

She pauses and watches him move about the room. "Ya can go outside 'er go hunt somethin', ya know. I'll be good 'ere."

He stops moving a bundle of clothes around and looks to Asteria then back around the room then back to her. Clearly he seems to feel like the place has finally been set up some what decent, atleast to his liking anyways.

He chuckles after she hit his arm and he cant help but grin as he watches her move a few more things about. Once she stops to look at him he would go to slip his arm around her in a loving embrace murmuring faintly.

"Nah I'm not interested in goin' out lookin' for a fight right now, I'd rat'er be 'ere by ya're side while ya're goin' t'rough t'is. Also I was t'inkin' once were done 'ere we could go out lookin' at some of t'e 'ouses I was t'inkin' 'bout."

"But, all righ'. I will. Wha' should I tell Rav...? She had tha' starry look in 'er eye...an' she is technically t'aunt." She nuzzles his arm. "I could tell 'er tha' we might stay with 'er sometimes but tha' we hardly want t'kids in t'wilds, righ'? I mean, I do want them ta know 'bout it but I dunno if we should live there, either."

He lofts a brow his cheek still resting on the side of her head as he thinks back to what he said a moment. After a few moments he removes his cheek from resting on her head and turns looking at her a moment. With in a few moments his wrinkles his nose and scrunches his face.

"Oi~ I'm not bein' indecisive like a woman. I t'ink ya need ta get some-o-'at wax outta ya're ears t'ere, love." He would blow lightly in her ear while speaking in a jesting tone. "I said I wouldn't apply for a Sheriff position 'cause-o-it bein' more a diplomatic position at times but I'd settle for Deputy Sheriff."

He sighs and rolls his eyes completely being over dramatic just because he can, more or less feigning to act like a stuck woman before he goes back to his regular tone

"Honestly I don't min' goin' out t'ere an' stayin' a few nights an' such t'ough I'm not sure I'd be welcomed t'ere wit' me 'avin' 'at lil' fire issue an' it bein' a forest. I'd not stop ya from takin' t'e lil' one out t'ere t'ough. Plus its good t'at t'ey getta see t'eir ot'er family members as well. As for t'e elders.."

"I dunno I t'ink t'ey are pretty reasonable t'e few times I met t'em, I don't t'ink t'ey'd 'ave an issue wit' ya just cause-o-ya're line-o-work ya did an' t'e position. I mean t'ey do allow 'alf-drow an' 'alf lesser planars 'ere as well. Plus ya got more t'en enough experience wit' fightin' t'e undead so I'm sure ya could give some sage advice an' what not on 'ow t'e fen' off t'e undead amon'st ot'er t'in's."

He suddenly takes on a serious tone of voice and stern expression as well. "Plus ya're my wife I'm not gonna 'ide 'at or try ta keep it a secret, I'm proud ta be married ta ya so if'in t'ey do gotta problem wit' ya t'en t'ey got a problem wit' me as well."

I'll show ya some-o-t'e places I'm lookin' at purchasin' an' ya can give me ya're opinion. Plus I t'ink ya'll like one of t'e ones I'm keepin' my eyes on."

He leans in to kiss the top of her forehead gently a moment and would give her a soft hug before stepping back. "I t'ink we should go out for a stroll 'roun' t'e town. I'll show ya some-o-t'e places I'm lookin' at purchasin' an' ya can give me ya're opinion. Plus I t'ink ya'll like one of t'e ones I'm keepin' my eyes on."

Her brown eyes brighten a moment. "Well, if ya will be workin' fer Alex, he's a good pretty fella. An'...yeah, I don't think ya would do very well as o' diplomat." She smirks. "Yer too blunt fer it, dear."

When he speaks of the elders, she nods her head. "Ya got o' point...they migh' even be glad fer it. I just wish I could join in t'combat against t'undead." She grumbles. "I hate havin' ta watch from t'sidelines an' if they send ya out there...well, I'd be knockin' down their doors an' demandin' tha' ya at least have back up." Her face sobers. "T'dracolich an' liches mean business this time."

She flashes him a smile and returns the embrace. "Sounds good ta me. Let's go take o' walk, then...I migh' have ta stay on t'sidelines but I'll be damned if I have ta sit 'round all day in 'ere."

"Well I wouldn't worry 'bout t'em sen'in' people out wit' out 'aving a group go wit' ya. T'e elders aren't stupid an' t'ey 'ave an idea 'bout t'e fightin' prowess of t'e undead. As for t'e Dracolich.." He trails off a moment before shuddering. "Yeah I'm not a fan-o-t'at. Had my fair share of run ins an' I'm not looking for a repeat any time soon."

After taking a few moments to re-equip himself he turns back around and dons his wolf cap whilst looking at Asteria. "Right we'll pick up more meat t'en while we are out in town." He would head towards the door and unlock it then hold it open for Asteria.

"Or we could always go hunt a deer." She chuckles. "Just 'cause I can't use m'axes doesn't mean I can't use m'longbow." She gives him a small smile before heading out the door and down the stairs, pausing at the bottom of them to wait for him.

He watches her leave the room before he does one quick sweep of the area then heads out the door as well turning and taking the time to lock the door. When he heads by the Inn Keeps desk he places a few coins on the counter and dips his head.

'Headin' back out, we'll be back soon." He turns and looks down the stairway at Asteria and can't help but smile a little before he clambers on down the stairs towards her and goes to place his hand around her wait and give a quick peck to her cheek.

"Alright well I suppose we can go out an' 'unt some as well, t'ough I'd t'ink if anyt'in' ya'd be wantin' some boar or bear." He chuckles and shakes his head. "Somet'in' wit' a bit more meat an' flavor. Plus might be a lil' more sportin' as well."
