Kitara at Ironhouse's Gates

Kitara arrives in the Rimwood worse for the wear and rather bruised. She quickly gathers the attending dwarven axemen and guards to relay information.

"A magi in white robes is going to be coming to join us here and take shelter in the halls with his daughter. Keep a look out for him and bring him into the halls quickly once he is here."

She then moves into the halls, sending one of the clan's runners to find Valtore so she can explain to the Thane further as she begins to arrange private quarters for Larkin's arrival. A second runner is quickly sent to look for Silphie, requesting her aid specifically in anticipation of the arrival.

Silphie would make herself available if anything was needed of her - emerging from the library into the main halls.

Valtore would come to the main halls and chat with Silphie about the plans the Clan has about Mithral Golems.

Kitara meets them there after settling the rooming arrangements. "Thane, Silphie thank you both for coming on short notice. I've good news!" She grins widely. "One of the Zent Skymages is defecting. He'll be here soon to take shelter with us with his young daughter. I thought that it'd be safest here for him considering how hard it is to enter the halls unnoticed."

She looks to Silphie and grins hopefully. "I thought you'd be the ideal person to get him settled given your own experience and common interests."

"Ah... common interests.. you mean common past?" She would scrunch her nose slightly, smoothing her white gown. "Alright - Let me know when they get here, he and his daughter can come spend some time in the library."

It is a few days before a cowled man and a little girl arrive at the gates of the Ironhouse Dwarves. The man is tall, with silver in his brown beard, and the girl bears the same colored hair. He speaks quietly with the dwarves on duty, who should be aware of the situation and let him into the Ironhouse Halls.

Valtore meets with the mage and little girl. He offers to escort the man and girl around. He shows them the library and playroom that was set up for Celovar's children and those of the other refugees that have been at the halls. He takes time to show them the library, alchemy room and other areas of the halls set up for research and magical studies. He makes sure Silphie and Bryanna are there for the walk as well as they are treated with respect.

When he is well away from them he makes sure the guards know to watch both of them closely and discreetly.

Kitara walks with them for the tour, making sure the chambers she arranged for them are part of the rotation. "I think you'll find the Halls very secure and hospitable. In my experience dwarves are the finest of communities to raise a child in, but I might be partial having been raised by them." She grins, sharing a bit about herself in an attempt to be reassuring.

Silphie would be present while the mage and his daughter toured the halls, having left some prepared sweets in the guest room for the new-arrivals. Her happy dog coming to greet them briefly as they passed through the library.

The mage would be uncomfortable in the dead magic zone, being so accustomed to being warded throughout the day. He would try to put aside his discomfort and tend to his daughter as they toured through the halls.

"I have no doubt that the Halls will be an place where we can live in peace, but I urge you to tell few. It only takes a single word, and the Zhentarim knows the truth. Such would bring a great deal of trouble down upon you...and us." He would say, gesturing to his daughter, who was playing with the dog who had trotted up to meet them in the library.

Kitara nods. "I understand. I had to tell the Thane, but beyond that those who know are those who were with us and those here."

Stevie would play with the little girl gently, the massive fluffy dog akin to a big teddy bear. Silphie would be standing close and watching carefully to make sure he didn't play too rough - kneeling to offer the little girl a dog treaty to give the fluffy malamute.

Valtore would just nod "ye are welcome here and we will just tell folk that ye be another travelin scholar visitin tha library. Most of those with arcane interest stay here as tha weave is unaffected here, yet still offers protection. None but we know of yur past, I have just told others a visitor was here." He just watches Silphie play with the child as he talks.
