I'm testing waters and tentatively back in the community of NWN2.
Hopefully life doesn't pile on me, but I finally have a personal situation which has settled down enough to have some personal time.
Since 98% of the players here have no idea why I vanished, I'll fill you in, the lite version at least. Due to financial troubles I had to take on two jobs (right as I was moving to a new location). This left me with near zero time and the time I did have has went to school, thankfully my place in life in better and I now am at a stable part-time job and school.
I've dearly missed this place and I'm so glad I have time again to play, so here I am. Terribly sorry for vanishing for so long and potentially hurting a few DM's story hooks (as I had characters involved). Hopefully ya forgive me, if not I'll hug you till you do.
Anyway, to keep things short. It's nice to be back. Hello everyone.

I've returned for 28 days and received volatile behavior from multiple individuals an accumulated 8 times now, that results in one negative instance every 3.5 days. I love you all, this isn't the result of anyone in particular but eight is enough to say that it is not a welcoming environment to return to. I'm sorry to say it but it seems like many people here have pent up negativity and lash out on others or are selective in whom they interact with. I'm suffering from depression as it is and this isn't helping. Might try again when my depression wanes but it does not speak well that whats supposed to be a coping device is resulting in some very dark thoughts. Please don't take this as a personal attack anyone, perhaps instead just think those your speaking too aren't in the best situation right now, maybe they could use an encouraging word instead of negativity or rejection. I'm really sorry to hear that. I would hope the excess of negativity was just a fluke, but it is rather appalling that a significant minority of players here are so volatile. I hope to see you swing back here again in the future, and with a much better experience of course. In the meantime, keep on keeping on.
