Hello everyone

I’m going to be leaving the server soon. I am becoming far too busy to even remotely handle being on staff. Let alone the experience of being an HDM has been a miserable one at best. However, it’s mostly the time constraints. It is unfair to promise time I can’t. Let alone it slows the server down.

The good news is I have absolutely no hands in the updates/things of updating nature so that won’t be effected. Also, I’m going to be sticking around for a short while to finish up some lose ends ICly...at least where I can. I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to finish it all.

The main thing I’d like to emphasize is if I do not manage to finish something, it’s over. Another DM will not be picking it up. You see, every time I’ve had been pushed up in the ranks on staff here, it’s due to a DM leaving. That DM leaves, and I get what they’ve left behind. It’s caused such an accumulation on my end with events I don’t know anything about, that it’s just added stress and resentment for people who aren’t even here anymore. I’m not doing that to another DM. I am going to try to get done what I can though.

So let’s not make a big deal about this. I’m going to hang around and slowly slip away so I don’t drop any lead balloons on people.

I've been on this server for five years now and I've seen many DMs come and go. In all that time, I have to say that you were one of the most dedicated and creative DMs I've had the pleasure of knowing, Vox. I understand the pressure, the stress and just how time consuming it can be. Thank you for all your hard work. I had a lot of fun in the events you threw and it was awesome to have you around. Stay gold and good luck wherever else you might be headed!

Vox, when DM post a leaving topic, usually there are just few replies if not no replies at all. Even with low population server, as you can see you have touched many players here. You were probably the most active DM with players. I just wish you were promoted to positions because you earned it, and not just because there is nobody else to replace the quitters. I knew that this day will come but you held far longer than I expected. It is understandable that you alone cannot carry the weight on your shoulders of all DMs that started their work and then left it to you to handle. I will be happy if next DM does at least half of what you have done for the server and its players. You will be missed here and I wish you best luck in whatever you do next.

You've been an absolutely amazing DM for us, and an even better friend.

I'm glad I got to meet Laura. Anyn always enjoyed her company, and he never forgot that she was the only person who was on his side when Celovar and Xen's alt (the lady elf, name started with an M..I think) threatened to kill him and leave him in the woods. That was my first encounter with her, not just with Anyn but overall as a player, and each subsequent interaction showed me more and more how a truly righteous and pure-hearted character should be played.

And even though we didn't RP all that much, know that you'll be missed. The things I learned from you just by observing will stick with me for a long time to come. As a DM, you made me feel confident in staff and the direction of the server. I was never worried about favoritism, corruption, or any of the other negative aspects that ruined previous incarnations of DB staff.

I can barely read Forums nowadays at 200 percent, but I had to say thank you, you have been the most considerate understanding and helpful player and DM since Ranya first stepped in the Dales.. the community will miss you, mostly wanted to give thanks and hugs for all that you've been and offered here, thank you.
