The Research begins

There isn't much to go by...but Tay'lin will try to find whatever she can.
She sits at the Hall of Echoes in Myth Drannor and trying to study whatever she can about the odd log she has found the day before. Mostly frustrated with the references to 'The Journal' she tries to at least understand some of the spells and other things which were at work in that dreadful place.

After she finishes with that, Tay'lin started to search for any relevant information about common and uncommon Sharran curses. That dawnstone idea might work...or it might kill Pius, the priestess of Selune.
After finishing with the common room in the library, Tay'lin uses her special pass to access the closed parts of the library.

Hopefully Tay'lin can come up with some answers.

Jewel slipped back into the library, almost no more than a shadow. She avoided interacting with those there. Instead, she simply starts scanning through books, looking for those dealing with shadows and Sharrans.

The tiny woman ends up leaning slightly off the ladder in her search of the higher shelves, now easily visible.

Tay'lin suddenly notices the hin. Being a bard Tay'lin trained herself to be very attuned to her music and thus her ears can detect even the slightest of sounds. To have someone sneak on her is very surprising to the bard.

She shakes herself from wondering how come the hin ended up there and then focuses on her figure. Her heart always had a soft spot for halflings and she can't help but to smile widely.
She approaches the hin and offer help: "Well hello there" *She beams* "Is there anything I can help with? I know this section quite well."

Jewel jumps, platinum hair tossing as she gets startled by suddenly being addressed. The dark skinned features are oddly elfin, looking almost as though she is some odd mix between elf and hin. Recovering from the scare, her expression turned indignant, voice coming in a rough accent. "What're you thinkin', sneakin up on a folk, hm? Y'wanna make me fall offa t'ladder?'" Despite her words, she doesnt seem in danger of falling at all.

Suspicious eyes study the elf as she continues without giving Tay'lin a chance to respond. "Dunno if y'can help. But yer the first t'offer. Lookin' for a few languages. Looks like this." She holds out a scrap of parchement holding samplesnof writing. One is abyssal, the other is some other language.

"Ho sorry" She says awkwardly. "I thought you would hear me coming considering the way I did not notice you coming in."

She takes the parchment, read it and strokes her chin. "Well unfortunately I am not fluent in abyssal, but given enough time I bet I can translate at least most of it for you, if you like."

She checks the other language and tries to determine which dialect it is.

Jewel waited, still half hanging on the ladder. "Got any clue, lady?"

Tay'lin keeps reading the parchment for a long while. After some time she adresses the hin: "Where...did you find this?" She pauses and rolls her tongue, "There is indeed some Abyssal here" She points to where the language is "But also more...Some arcane and some...I am not so sure about this other part. It reselmbles arcane but it is very uncommon." She looks up and finally acknowleding Jewel is actually half hanging from the ladder "Well I may be able to translate most of it maybe all of it, but it will take time."

She offers her the Parchment back and asks again"Still, I would like to know more of this if I am to help you.

Jewel stares at the elf, suspicious. She is unsure if she is willing to trust the woman with the knowledge she has, but the necessity of it tugs at her. She has had almost no success on her own. One small hand reaches, taking back the slip of parchment, and she moves down the ladder and closer to Tay'lin, her voice lowering. "What d'you know uv the place up in the Dagger Hills?"

Alatariel, known to be a regular of the Hall of Echos, would probably be seen by the pair at some point during their research. She looks like she might be the scholarly type or even an arcane practitioner. She seems friendly enough to others if she was approached for help.

Having been drug off to another room by Tay'lin, the two end up conversing quietly until several things are revealed, and then, once more, they begin to both pour over the books they gather for translating things.
