The events of the nexus and the maker of such, named Zsalat, are far to recent to have been published information in books of the library.
Even so, there are some notes of reports made by adventurers. They are not organized. There is a summary written to date on the top of the pile.

Enemies of Myth Drannor have made it known that they intend to destroy us and our culture. Clearly the Mythal is a target of priority. Though the High Magics of the Mythal are secrets kept for our protection, it is clear the enemy has knowledge, and are attempting to exploit it.
Two things are important that we hear of their exploits.
One , the health of the forest and natural lands and life around the city and the Cormanthor. It appears the enemy is using some elements of poisons and perhaps plagues to weaken and harm these lands and life.
Two , the presence of abyssal beings near the city is contra to the health of the Mythal. Portals have been reported opening, and demons and such coming forth and roaming with little other purpose, until destroyed by our forces or others who revile such entities.

One report speaks of a portal opening for a short time in the sewers of the city, with a water elemental coming forth, and the portal lasting only a short time. The meaning and threat level of this us unclear and yet, fear leads one to suspect the drow are probing the Mythal with test portals.
A report speaks of the one who clearly claims to be the creator of the portals is named Zsalat and is a surface drow, likely a Vhearaunite, who is rumored to be a chronomage, somehow dealing in time as well as portals. The claim is that a stable and lasting set of portals have been created and opened connecting several planes, including the Abyss, allowing free passage. This series of planes that link to at least one site, is called the Nexus.
A report speaks of chronomages being targeted by paid assassins, and many have been eliminated. it appears Zsalat seeks to keep his power and secrets safe from all others. A half drow at the arena was dealing contracts.
A report speaks of the Nexus has having been seen by some who were taken there by Zsalat himself, showing the power, and the heavy protection it is under. It is reported that a circle of mages seemed to be maintaining a central portal that was very radiant with energy.
A report speaks of several folks making similar reports of being taken by Zsalat to what appeared to be Myth Drannor after destruction. The Drow claimed that this was the future. He made pleas for folks to join his cause in domination of the Dales, referring to it as the New Age.
