- Issues as I see them:
1. Camp politics 2. Pivotal UD players leaving or only appearing during events 3. Qu'ellars - In theory I have liked them but since this plays to both point one and two it has made it hard to have any real direction since they are set by the powers in charge 4. No real communications between the Qu'ellars of plot lines or if there is not enough downwards to others. 5. Those that play characters of power (Yath) provide little direction themselves and go to point 2 for clarification. This is my personal feeling and perhaps not true of some of the Yath.. those that choose it for the easy way to power but are unable to live by this simple quote "with great power comes great responsibility" Shadow Ditto....

- Well nearly 10 of my friends start playing on this server and even just bought the game for it after I told them my rp stories. But none of them right now plays an UD race. I do not know much but they said to me that there were none events and not many people to talk to.
I Live in EU zone, and see not much people to talk with in camp, and have no events at all. So i can understand feelings of your friends. In other way, you always can make event for yoursellf. Yesterday, I with friend hold a ritual, under cover of darkness, we sacrafice a heart of heretic and unexpectidly earned fine exp after that. Seems DM watching us, and revard well for initiative. Other day, i was on surface, catched and tortured be these evil elves, sadly i was need to logg of before RP ends, but anyway, it is much funnier than sit in camp and wait for DM to come and tell a story for you.

| I see people all the time, and i run into events all the time in the UD. Although my one PC that still resides in the UD doesn't really talk to people unless it invovles work. She definitly doesn't go up to people just to start up a coversation for no other reason than to converse.
But was in an event yetserday. I couldn't finish it because it was midnight and i was exauhsted but it was definitly centered around maerimydra bieng retaken.

They don't already speak in drow actually, the speak undercommon, which is understandable by all UD races. There is no true drow language, it is elvish mixed with some drow slang. The drow language in game is actually identical to elven, so players substitute in certain drow words to replicate the drow tongue and to make it more immersive experience. Regardless, not all drow speak like this, those with commoner backgrounds might be more accustomed to speaking with normal undercommon since they are used to being around other races. Well then having Undercommon as a language is absurd if we're not talking drow among ourselves.

| I belive there language is called xanalress which means lanugage. I trust we can get back to having fun and rping. Thank you axe and mustang on your work on the servers. as far as lolth getting weary with her matrons... you know what rolls down hill. its messy at the top and messy at the bottom, and messy all the way up. enjoy and have fun. | |

| The way i see it - I havent been on too much the past few weeks though -
Is that lets say the retaking of the city is the main thing to do, which then will focus alot on the high level characters, leaving the lower levels out, and the starting players - odd timezone players with low level characters is allready streched thin.
So I would not vote for that.. it will breed small cliques of high level characters that will outcast low level characters, or players from odd timezones.
Activity, event wise, the UD is that a barren wasteland in Euro timezone. There's only a few on. Most are silent/busy waiting for their friends to come on, or are grinding the beetle cave 24/7.
Talking of which, Beetle cave needs a bit of an overhaul - it's full of Floating placables and so-so lighting. I can help out if the main builders are busy on other projects. Have 'some' experience (lol) in the toolset, so a beetle cave fix is something I can do within a short time period.
But, to rephrase on the main topic.. lets not put focus on very large happenings like retaking a city, as that will focus too much on a specific player group, while the UD actually needs more players of different levels and timezones to warrant all the areas being made for it. For a NWN2 server it's just not very economical to have many, large UD areas for a playerbase of what.. 7 people?
Drow Language: (from my perspective) I know it sounds cool and all, but some of us type English as a Secondairy language allready, and adding the jibberish language of the Drow to it (basically drow words in an English grammar) just makes it even harder on the non-native English typing players, like myself. So I usually dont do it beside the well-known Yes-no-hello-goodbye words. Anything else added in a sentence gives me serious headaches. =(

| There are more than 7 people that play. However, if players don't play their pcs anymore you are right there is no reason for staff to continue to invest in building areas for the UD. That is the reality. Ultimately players are fully in control of that. | |

| Well.. I counted about 4 in one of my last visits. I think it's a US timezone and Euro Timezone thing. I can hear the Glowing crickets sing in my hours, for sure. (then I usually play a surfacer, because after 3 runs of beetles, things get a bit old ) | |
