| So I started as a Drow recently. And I have to say, that it has been so much fun playing with one. And with that in mind, I would like to address an issue I currently have/an or concern.
It began with me doing some independent research on the how Drows in general came about. I got so excited in being one that I happen to stumble on some general lore. I noticed a article stating; Females are always Clerics/Fighters not Wizards, while most males are Wizards/Fighters. I'm not sure whether this is correct. Because I'm playing a female wizard. And I would like to know whether I'm actually playing a Drow correctly. While the culture and behavior is consistent in most websites I came across, the Classes seem to be a dispute. It would really bum me out to start over again.
Regards, | |

| Female wizards happen just not often as the drow view the wizard class as inferior to the priestess. You are opening yourself up for a lot of roleplay doing it this way. I see no issue with it but then again I am not anyone anyways lol. | |

| *Erelhei-Cinlu is a city in the word of Grey hawk, Sschindlylryn possible due to an error in TSR back in the day has/had a portal to it as well as it is a city that is mentioned in Drizz't Guide to the Underdark. | |

| (( I think that this was due, in part, to the 1st Ed drow stuff of Lolth being able to have followers simultaneously on many worlds, and they were accessible to each other through the demonweb, but that is simply my interpretation. I know Lolth has battled for followers with Graatz in the Greyhawk setting, and many drow there follow him)) | |

| Not every female drow in drow society is a priestess. However, being one, grants you better status and not being one, means you can't really get much up in society. | |

| not every female noble drow in drow society is a priestess there are a huge number of drow females who are commoners and nothing to do with nobles Sorry to be picky, but I do think we overlook the huge number of commoners | |

| Look at the paragraph 1 there. Notice something in the paranthesis? Let's say you are child A of Heretic Mom A. And you aren't a cleric or server Lolth well(which honestly is totally subjective. Look at what you are facing. | |

| Heck the Mennzo book s even had a whole house full of psionics. I think in general if you follow Lolth you should be fine. The Goddess grants her children different gifts. Maybe her plan for you was to break the power of the Male Wizards. Find your hook for RP and look for how it can be different than everyone else's, yet not be a large bonfire stating that here lies a heretic | |

| Thanks DM_Axe for that article you posted on Anysby Velifane. That gave me an idea how female drow wizards are treated. And everyone else. | |

This has been brought up before. One really has to ask themselves, did any of those psionicist have actually any levels of cleric though? Like could they have been 1cleric/29 psionicist? Or any combination of such. | |

| Even if they had been 30 cleric, they didn't have to be inducted into the Yath. I know you have read the same books as I do. And Yath is something that the books say you are inducted into, not something you are awarded because you took a level or 30 levels of cleric | |

| But Belsarius, it also doesn't say that they weren't clerics either. | |

| oh, and Drow don't have to follow Lolth, and subjugate themselves to her twisted ways. There is another path.
