For those of you who are new I've been playing on Dalelands for about a year now. I am one of the historians here in Dalelands and am trying to put together a lot of the events and if you will campaign driven by staff and players during 2011. It is a rather daunting task for a man who just got out of BAMC after three months of connected medial treatment due to wounds recieved in combat in 2008.
Reviewing all of the forums posts and recalling IC events from memory has been in ways challenging and fun. The meaning of this post is not so much about the historian stuff as the sheer volume of activity here in Dalelands Beyond. There have been so many events and ongoing plots that it fills about 15 pages just getting the major events listed in MS word and I am only on the 4th month.
Just being around Dalelands about a week I can see it has gotten better than it was 6 months ago on so many levels. The server CEO Buce, the COO Mustang, the builders, scripters, DM staff and players have created here in 2011. This collaborative effort in creativity known as Dalelands Beyond is really something to be proud of and that is why I've come back after a 4 month absence. In spite of some of the negatives that can and will happen in environments such as these.
