The Change of seasons Fair – Spring 4/3/2012

Due to the harvest mistress being Exceptionally busy with the aftermath of the plague and other issues Dark Thorn have taken to organising this years Change of seasons fair spring, we hope this event will be a beacon of hope in these dark times and give those of Shadowdale a chance to forget there woes if only for one day.
The events planed are listed below


The opening ceremony –

Where chosen representatives of winter and spring nominated and elected by the people will have a duel of honour before partaking in the annual ceremony to show the passing of the season from winter to spring.
If you would like to nominate a candidate for the position please leave a name in an envelope with a Member of Dark Thorn the person we will approach the chosen parties to ensure they wish to take part if they do we will put there names up for election by the people

The Champion of Winter and spring will both receive a commemorative sword forged for the event by Master Smith Solomon of Dark Thorn


The Great Hunt –

A hunt through the forests of the Dale where a animal will be killed and cooked for the people of the festival before the hunt there will be prayers to the gods of nature and after the hunt prayers in thanks of the animal that gave its life for the continuation of another’s existence.


The spring tournament-

A great tournament will be held for all that wish to enter, the cost of registration will be 1000 gold pieces and matches will be drawn by lot the winner will be awarded the Title “Springs Heir” and Be given the Crown of Spring a magical item Forged by Dark Thorn with the aid of the clerics of Chuntea, all wishing to enter please send a letter to Dark Thorn

There will of course also be market stalls with a wide variety of foods Drinks and goods as well as entertainment any Bards wishing to Perform are welcome.

the spring fair is almost here, any more nominations for champions of winter and spring should be sent to the Old skull.

the same should be done for the tournement entrys though payment on the day will be accsepted... we are hoping to start the events at 4pm ((GMT)) with the tournament being at 6 pm ((GMT)) and after the end of the tournament the great hunt.
