Dear Wakefield.
Under intensive investigation me and my team have discovered yours was not the only apartment under offence that day. Various local apartments were broken into, locks forced completely as we've discovered. It is unknown how much content was stolen though some valuable items such as gems were taken in the odd case. This may change the nature of your case, my own temporary deduction is that perhaps something scared the burglarers enough for them to torch the place in evidence. Make what you will of it, and we will continue our tireless search.
