The Honor Duel

Celovar stands near Nadin with his arms crossed and watching the duel. He doesn't say much unless he is asked, merely watches the battle.

Silesia danced the dance with him, moving this way as he move that, ducking to the side as he thrusted, or using the cover of her towershield to its maximum effectiveness. As his assult continued she would seem to be trying to step back away from him, to the side of him using the shiled to prtect her upper body her axe to deflect. He would hit her though, although she seemed to be trained in a similar style to his own, she was still young and not having the advantage that comes with age., his Axe would most likely catch her in the side as she attempted to parry and disarm him, an opening in her defencive that his greater expirence would pick out. The axe denting her armor and staggering her a few inchs.

"If, I have any breath in my lungs left, id be happy too!"

She would say to him before he charged, as he did she would once more full into that same stance, but this time it was wrong, she left her side wide open to an attack as she pulled the shiled too far around, perhaps he had broken a few ribs?

In anycase it would soon become clear, for as he charge she would do something that might baffle those that watched, as she throw her towershield at his feet in the attempt to either trip him or force him to jump, but more so she would then grasp her axe in both hands and and her turn of performing an all out attack.

She did not attack franticly or trying to land as meny hits as she could but rather put everthing she had into one sold arcing swing aimed at where she hoped he would be in the air if her gamble paided off and she had managed to force him to jump.

Silesia would still be tumbling backwards as he righted himself, the sound sof her platemail clanging loudly as she was sent flying by his shiled bash, yet skilled in how to land corrected she seemed to have some degree of controll how she tumbled finaly landlanding in a semi knelt possition, slightly wobbling and seeming to favor her left arm. from the right side of her face it was clear he managed to at least roll on her head at one point, but yet, she chuckled as she slowly started to stand, seeming to require a bit of effort on her part as though partly dazed.

"Nice... defliction." she would say softly a hand holding her side for a moment before holding her axe, she seemed to be giving him a moment to stand and gather him. once he did she would charge in again, raining blow after blow at him and uttlerly missing, or so it might appear to the on looker but in truth she was now focusing of attempting to disarm him, attmepting to catching his axe or shield and attmept to cast it out of the fight with a well time flick of the wrist.

one thing he would notice though was that her aim was a bit off now, him landing on her head clearly having an effect on her axe hand.

*Jarrin winces again at teh savage blows*

Ain't they done yet, Bossman? neither really wants ta be fightin anyhow? Just doin it cuzza all that honor stuff. Thinkin I'll haveta buy botha them a drink after this one.

*A huge orc-blood in heavy red plate has been standing far to the back, careful not to get in anyone's way or cause any unwanted attention. He watches teh fight with a calm and appraising eye. He nods at teh good tactics and shakes his head as he sees poor choices made. He gets a slightly worried look on his face when Tae is hit hard, but makes no move to stop the fight to check on him. Only standing in stoic silence. Watching. Evaluating.*

*Taeron jumps back to gain some distance from her, swinging his tower shield onto his back - evening the fight*

I think your honor will remain intact after this one.

*With that, he steps forward axe held in both hands. He clashes with Silesia, but he's no longer playing her game. He uses his superior reach, his weight, his strength... Every aspect of the battle where he has an edge - he utilizes that. This is where Silesia's prowess get truly tested. She deflects, attacks, moves in and out. She's good, but he's just too much. Being still slightly woozy from the roll and her hand being probably injured, the fight turns one-sided. The barbarian's axe twirls, he evidently spent his time specializing on it's various uses and combat styles. His axe firmly in his hand, he presses on in an attempt to trip her over (improved knockdown) to end the battle.*

*As they fight, the observers might notice that Taeron is still doing what he did at the start - making sure the Black Hounds are not behind his back. They might also notice that throughout the rest of the battle, he makes sure not to land a single hit where it might kill her - he's not even using the sharp end of the axe. Those with the most keen of combat-senses might see that he's studying her fighting style. Analyzing it... Odd enough as it may be - for a barbarian.*

*Jarrin watches casually before leaning over to Cruven and saying softly*

Hope ya didn't put too much coin on our girl, Bossman. The barbarian ain't quite as barbaric as he lets on. If she wins...only due ta a lucky stroke. Though that shield throwin bit was pretty unexpected *grins*

*The ginormous orc-blood just watches silently throughout teh entire battle*

Sil would be panting for breath at this point as she deflected blows where should could and pretty much just about that as he used all of his height and reach to his advantage, she was wearing out and fast it was clear. Her fighting style was oddly close to that of the Rashiman Warrors, but unlike them she was focus and logical.

He would catch her in the shoulder at one point as she lifted up her axe to block one of his mighty blows, but the blow forcing her block down, his axe bitting into her arm before she growl and span backwards sending a axe blade towards his face in the attempt to force him back and get some space between them, she would look at him for a moment and nod to him a smile still on her lips.

She would then switch her axe to her off hand and pull out a dagger and suddenly gain a cold focused look on her face as she charged, her left flank exposed as she lifted the axe to stirke him and any attack that came her way.... She would not attempt to block and dodge out of the way of, her intention was to welcome it and then lock her axe and arm down on it in the attempt to lock him and her togeather, if succsessful she would have her blade to his throut.

"Victus..... Honor Warror.... I... Salute yoooooooooo....." At which point Sil would fall too the floor, the axe wound to her side most liekly bleeding heavly, looking up to him she would squint as though trying to get him into focus before saying.

"Cut deeper than I expected... Still.....If your not.... prepaired to make a sacrifice.. for your beliefs... what are they.. worth eh?"

That was of course if her ploy worked

*Jarrin watches and sighs as she passes out*

I got some bandages, Bossman...but much better at tearin a body up that puttin it back together.

*looks around teh crowd* Anyone know bout fixin folks and care ta give a hand? Thinkin all the folks' honor is all safe and sound now, so let's patch her up some 'fore she bleeds out.

*The orc-blood stands silent and watches for what is next.*

Cruven glances at Jarrin and shrugs to him.

Cant say I ever did a duel for honor ta tell the truth, honor's for knights in my opinion... But if you're gettin a drink after this count me in.

As he leans against the tree puffing his cigar, he turns to watch the barbarian as he turns his attention to the Hounds.

He aint gunna win if he watches us like that... I dont look like I'm about ta go outta my way ta draw my sword do I?...

*Seeing her draw the dagger, the barbarian would let out a sigh.*

Not giving up, eh?

*He would do as she expected and strihe her from the left - letting her lock his axe with hers. It would work. She was sure of it. Even the crowd might rise up, their eyes widening. This was her lucky strike. She can win...*

*A moment of sheer surprise as she realizes her dagger is at his throat*

It's not a victory yet...

*She can feel an iron grip tightening around her hand. Even if she wanted to, she wouldn't be able to leave a mark on his throat. He has seen way more battles than her. He expected her move and as she reached for his throat with her dagger, he grabbed her hand with his. The dagger is at his throat, but the barbarian has it under control*

If you weren't wounded, you just might have been strong enough.

*he pushes her away and before anyone else can get to her, the barbarian kneels to Silesia.*

Got any air left in your lungs?

*With that, he checks the wound at her side, muttering a few words in Illuskan and reaching for the injury. He then looks up and notices Kira moving closer, her hands glowing with healing energy. Taeron would simply step aside, allowing Kira to do her part.*

*However, as Kira begins her healing, she would notice that Silesia's most gravely wound - the one on her ribs is mostly healed. The bones regrown, Silesia being out of any real danger of dying*

*Taeron would just stand a few feet away, watching Kira work. The barbarian is waiting for his oponent to shake his hand - ending the duel formally*

attempts too her her by magic were oddly more harder than normal it seemed this girl had spell resistance which natually attmepted to thwat the magics even if they were benighn, but in anycase she eyes would open and look up to him and kira a nod of thanks to them both before saying to him. "I do now, I thankyou for the honorable due and the lessons that you have taught me in this."

*As soon as she was able, the barbarian offers her a hand and helps her get up*

We may yet see each other on the battlefield, as I stand against those who pay for your services. But today you have proven that there's some honor in the Black Hound company. I will remember that whenever I deal with you in the future.

*he pats her shoulder and nods with respect*

Mara would stand back watching the two with a smile on her face. Well done my love. You did me proud today.

~She took his hand and stood before instinkually falling into line with Kira as she rolled her shoulder.~

"Her name was, is Liznay." Silesia would say, seeming to go somewhat cold and clammy as she brought up her past. "I hope we do meet in the battlefield again, but also in a pub for a drink, I tihnk I overheard someone in the crowd say something about a drinking contest." she would say with a small smile before slowly limping over and picking up her dagger, she would then cut a small lock of her firey red hair off and bind it with some cord before offering it to him. "I know you said no thropies, but I offer this freely in respect of my defeat.

I am Silesia, and I hope we meet again."

Mara would look at Silesia with a smile.

He fights well and with honor. I believe I chose well when I agreed to be his wife. Please come by the Royal Oak for drinks. I am one of the managers. I will make sure you are well received with drinks. I'm Mara

Mara offers her hand in a greeting.

*As he's surprised by the offer, it takes him some time to take the "trophy". He eyes it, somewhat stunned.*

Yeah, this might get awkward if we ever have a duel and I lose.

*with that, he rubs his bald head and grins*

The only hair I have might not be well suited for a trophy. At least not a combat one.
And since you mentioned drinking, I rarely drink, given the time spent on patrol. But when a good occasion arises, I'll make sure to see you hammered.

*Jarrin smiles and claps his hands together*

Good fight...honor kept...sounds like a good 'ccasion ta me. Let's get ta gettin, then. Drinks for the lotta ya!! On me.

*The large orc-blood encased in red armor that is polished to a high sheen simply nods to Tae as he honors the felled warrior woman with kind words and no animosity. A few quiet words can be heard from the hulking mass of muscle and steel as he turns to leave the others to their celebrations...free of his presense*

After the fight Celovar looks over to Nadin and speaks few words in a small whisper. He then turns and starts to walk toward Myth Dranor once again.

Sil would smirk at his words and nod before looking to the one that introduced herself at his wife. "My thanks, I look forward too seeing you there." She would say before walking over to the other Hounds. "So.. there was the mention of drinks?"
