Ransacking the Temple of Kossuth

Donath rushes too the temple after hearing news that the temple has been ransacked. As he comes closer to the entrance he see's the corpses of the lizards surrounding the entrance, he looks at them quietly stroking his beard. His eyes widen then rushes inside the temple almost tripping over one of the deceased lizards tail as he enters stumbling into the upturned building. "What in the nine hells! Who could have done this... Why?" He asks himself this over and over for about five minutes as he walks through the debris. Donath walks into his living quarters seing that even his belongings have been thoroughly gone through.
Donath continues to walk around the temple looking at the mess that has been made looking for anything that could give him any ideas or clues on who could have done such an act too a sacred place.

After searching the area he walks to the shrine and kneels down before it he bows his head and begins his prayer. "Kossuth forgive me for I was not here in this time of need, please allow me to prove that I am a capable guardian and give me the insight and power to find and brings these people to justice." After he gives his short prayer he stands up and goes through the debris more carefully looking for anything that he knows does not belong to the temple.

An armored and masked figure finds his way through the caverns for his evening prayer in the temple, upon seeing the corpses in the entrance he would, for the first time in weeks, remain armed as he entered. Spotting Donath, Aerys would scan the temple with a mix of surprise and anger.

"Brother, what happened?" The archer would ask, his voiced laced with worry. He would put away his weapon, the Vanguard still bearing his cloak as he slowly made his way through the corpses. He seems more or less speechless, as he goes to lend his trained eyes to search for any clues.

Victor looks up at the Vanguard recognising the voice his own voice has a tone of disbelief and sadness "Someone has desecrated the Temple brother. I have reason to believe they were looking for something... A halfling by the name of Lily Silvertoe *giving a description of her too Aerys* told me that they were going to do the same thing but was beaten too the punch because they too were looking for the same thing an artifact of sorts. I have also told her that I am the guardian of this Temple and if she needs anything all she has to do is ask me, she has agreed on that." He sighs once again in disbelief of the damage done to the place and continues to search for any signs of who may have done this.

"Hmph, I know that one, and what she searches for. An Aurilite, they should receive nothing for their continued insults and threats against the holy flame." He would search over where the footprints were in the Temple, eying everything closely for even the smallest detail as he did so. Should he find nothing, he would follow the tracks carefully although they likely just led out towards Shadowdale, keeping a close eye on the surroundings as best he could for more clues.

Donath goes through his belongings that are still within the temple making sure that everything is there, He does however have one thing that was hidden well out of sight, an urn containing the ashes of his beloved fiance of many years a go. He looks at the urn for a what could be at least five minutes before putting it back into it's hidden spot and goes about looking through his belongings.

Donath begins his duties and starts cleaning up some of the heavier items that have been destroyed and broken making sure everything he picks up he looks at carefully studying it for any traces that could have been left by the culprit whether it be a piece of their armour or even a strand of hair. Donath goes over everything with a fine tooth comb.

When crossing paths with Aerys he would thank him giving him a deep bow in respect and shaking his hand firmly. "Thank you brother your help has been invaluable with the clean up of the temple. I do hope one day though that we will get more followers in here soon so that we may take a break and have someone who is as devout as ourselves take over the mantle of protecting this great temple." He goes about his cleaning routine making sure to take any notes of anything out of the ordinary.

As Aerys approaches on one of his patrols to the Temple Donath would bow to him in his customary fashion as a monk of Kossuth and ask him. Did you happen to find out where those footprints led when you followed them Brother? If you did have you asked around the area for for any footprints that matched the description? Donath bows once again then proceeds to carry on with the cleaning mainly smaller jobs now as most of the larger broken items he and Aerys have already taken care of or if possible repaired.
