Gonna flush NWN 2 entirely for a month or two. Coming back to this game has been very disappointing, seeing how the underdark shrunk to such a small population size.
I am not sure if it is really a mix of people taking their leave and the drama llama combined, or if it is just because people might not be that much interested in the underdark... in any case, all servers on the game has a very small, almost non existant underdark and the surface world simply does not interest me at all. Clearly, the hacker problem has to be solved too, at some point. He is ruining the immigration of new players, diverting some to other servers, and deserves a well deserved dose of hate for it. ... Or maybe people dont like playing NWN during the summer? Or is it me that thinks many people like the drow setting, when in fact im wrong and its time I grow up and stop playing stupid drow games?
lul.
In any case, concerning the drama llama storm that apparently happened during my last absence, I would ask people to forgive things that arent that much of a deal, and also to stop being so politically correct, and try to understand people s actions as well. Metagaming is indeed annoying, but its not a horrible crime like theft, rape, murder. Its just metagaming. People should be able to forgive, as long as its not done on purpose, with malice. If someone metagames you, talk to him or her, ask him the ooc reasons why that happened, try to find out if it was indeed metagaming or not. If you re not happy with the result, call a DM and ask for a ruling. It is clearly better to put a close to the said metagaming than to let it be used as an excuse to bitch and moan and whine for months after it happened, only degenerating the problem further.
As for the politically correct part of my argument, dont let people that are ruining the fun of others get away with it. Spot them, and act accordingly, when possible. If the crap happens by a legal troll type that remains within the rules of the server, then band together and deal with the problem according to the underlying principle of Justice. People need to get what they deserve. If someone near you cant forgive a small mistake, then dont forgive them when they make a small mistake. Etc, etc, etc...
Anyways, Ill come back here in a month or two and see if there s some change. I tried, staying logged on for whole days while reading books, checking the game once in a while, and met maybe 3 toons in average per day to RP with. And I dont really want to spend the rest of the summer reading books.
So bye for now, my favourite server, Ill be back in a month or two and try it out again. Bye.
