| Though out the land, some new kind of illness seems to be sweeping the wild, causing sickly critters to appear here and there and clearly these poor innocent animals seem to be in a lot of pain.
The afflicted animals seems to have their joints and tongues swelling, large boils and furless patchs bleed a sickly yellowish pink puss.
What do you do? | |

| Upon seeing one such animal, her first instinct is to mercifully kill it and burn the body. What she does, however is reports this to one of her Ahk'velahr superiors. They may have a idea of what to do. | |

| While on his daily route, Alfie, notices that one of the rabbits he hunted for a delicious second breakfast has these symptoms...
He doesnt eats it..but inspects it while having his meal with other rabbits...tries to make a sense of its reason. (survival 1d20+41base)

| @ Alfie your study of the animal reveals its a normal naturally accuring illness, or at least appears to be, the strain of sickness does not seem to be targeting humaniodsyou realise as you oddly do not feel sick while handling it. it is however very very aggressive towards other animals, and seems to be contracted by contact and disturbing... close proxcimity via the puss it gives off..
what do you do next? | |

| After know about the animals Nadin would hunt any small animal aflicted, or ask from any ranger or guard, in order to analyse with detect magic and legend lore, determining if this ill is or not of magical origin.
(non-buffed skills: Lore 36, spellcraft 36, legend lore spell in book)

The sickness does not seem to be magical produced, it seems natural.. very very agressive and potent, but.. none magical...

| Alfie finishes his breakfast. then puts the dead bunny in a cooking pot, closes its lid, wraps it with a blanket tightly, and comes to the border of Drannor, stops outside of Mythal border and asks the guards to summon, Solmah, archdruid and the Priest, as well as inform Keeper and arms Captain immidately.
He explains He dares not to bring this thing inside, as it may be contagious among animals.
Explains his observations to whohever comes first "without" opening the cooking pot..and let them decide, to inspect further.

| Nadin sends a report to the Keeper
Regarding the subject of diseased animals in the wilds with joints and tongues swelling, large boils and furless patchs bleeding a sickly yellowish pink puss, I examined a rat with these symptoms and it didnt show sign of be a magical disease, it seems to be a very agressive and potent, but natural one.

| As Alfie shows him the bunny Karovir grumbles and then simply casts a remove disease spell (yes he really has that one ) and watches what happens. He also says to Alfie: "You know if this sickness spreads we might get into trouble. The mythal lives of the nature around. | |

| As you cast your magics upon the sickly critters in the attempt to heal it, the sickness seems to devour the magic, and fuel its self mutaiting if possible into a very agressive and rapidly comsuming the animal uttle, who would die in agoney as its body swelled and exploded in a wave of yellow puss and pink sickness all over you, shock how much puss a small rat can explode over people... ew.. | |

| Karovir whipes his face and grumbles: "Why did I expect that to happen? Well that's no normal sickness I would say. Devouring divine magic like that. Maybe it has to do with some sick ritual, undead or whatever. We should seek out some druids and ask them to investigate it. I will ask totemsister Alaniel."
He goes to find the totemsister at the temple of the Seldarine.

"this doenst look good at all. Inform the Priests and Druids of the City and also the Lathanderites that no sick animal is to be brought into the city and if one is found it is to be isolated from all others. Dead Bodies should be burned. I hope the Druids and Priests can shed some light into this"

| Looking for the Keeper after send his report Nadin would reach them.
This beyond doubt can't be natural, still don't seems to work in the same rules of magic as we know. Maybe a vengeance of the shadowvar or someone using their dark 'magic'? I will conduct a more specifical check for it... if this is not the case so I'm really lost in this for now... even divine magic should be visible, but yes my lady, maybe the druids saw or heard something about this before. Visibly much worried and disturbed the elf leaves for further studies.

| Aly is somewhat freaked by this finding. She euthanizes and burns the worst of the animals she finds, then vigorously cleans her spear, fearfully careful to maintain as much sterility as she can for herself.
The green elf does not know disease, is not a healer. She does not understand how diseases work, really, only that they spread certain ways...by touch, by air...or by water... Having no magic to speak of to discover a cause, unable even to use scrolls, she employs instead the ancient forgotten arts of her people: she goes and looks.
She knows the forest, she does not even enter cities, all of her time for half a year or more has been in the wild. In her circuits through the forest, she begins looking for patterns, more disease, worse disease, animals moving away from something, animals dying much faster, anything she can find. She is working under the assumption that these animals have drunk or been exposed to something out here in the forest, but leaves herself open to the unexpected.
And while she always boiled her drinking water...now she boils the bloody crap out of it.

| Apart from telling her fellow forestites about her sighting of what she could only call a "wolf god", she will resume her circuits and (presumably futilely) attempt to track it should she encounter it again. Her bonded wolf Ferdi, who circles her in the forest constantly at a wide distance and is almost never seen by others, may be of more use than a scout in this case...at the least, she hopes his reactions to the thing will be informative, so she'll call him in should she find it. | |

You yourself do not seem to be able to find its tracks, your wolf however, does seem to catch a scent, the scent leads to "Along the River" just past the beastman and then abruptly stops.

| After delivering the specimen to Myth Drannor authorities at the outborder of Mythal, Alfie resupplies some fruits for emergency apetite, and makes his way back to the forest as fast as he can..On the boat he keeps constantly debating to himself..
"Oh dear, if tis nay be stopped no more sizzlin boar feast...hrm hurmm..wha could possibly do such fing. Drows? Naah..too less magick fo their methods..Malars? Naah they need the hunt, tis too low fo their methods eitha..Heck Probably Zhentarim is havin the same problem, if tis is spreadin tis fast...The Mad mage commandin those beastmen? Maybe..hrmm naah again tis be less magicky even fo that loonie...How bout a Dryad fing went wrong? Hrmm...tis sounds like a good place to check...les see if those charmin ladies dwell in the same region last Ive seen..." (14int base)
"Darn it Lyons, I hope all is well on yer side, the lands could use som elp indeed.."
Alfie changes his course towards along the river region, hoping to see 3 dangerously charming dryads where he last interacted with them near the ruins. (ICly Alfie encountered dryads in that region twice as a part of DM events.)

As Alfie approches the Ruins he would see the three Dyrads leaning back aginest their trees looking rather sickly, here and there over their bodys were black patchs of skin, around their trees he would notice the rotting bodys of animal as well a the stinking yellow puss here and there, seems they tryed to heal the fluffy critters at some point.

| Iwean has been searching the Shadowdale area for patterns and similarities in the sickness. REcording and tracking the location and species and how far the Disease has progressed. While exploreing the Shadowdale lands he avoids contact with the civilized areas. He is also fasting and meditating praying to his patron diety. Asking for a sign of the cause of the Disease and what his purpose in this land is. He checks in at the Grove to see if anyone is present every tenday. He hopes to find a gathering for the tenday devotions. In his travels he sees the war has damaged the land and people greatly. He sees a lot of anger and evil. The Zhents are intent on proving they are in charge, The circle is intent on eliminating the Zhents, the Drow are intent on killing everything and Myth Drannor is having a party and keeping to the city. There appears to no one looking after the wildlife and land. Iwean will continue his investigation.
