Valtore at the School

Valtore offers his services at the School by the river. He is willing to teach others History, Myths and Legends, basic Blacksmithing, weaponsmithing, armorsmithing, dwarven, Elven Poetry, and a verity of other subjects. He asks for room and board as a teacher at the school only and brings a massive collection of books with him.

Valtore starts to prepare classes for individuals at the School on a verity of subjects. The children at the orphanage, individuals at the refugee camp, as well as citizans of Myth Drannor are welcome to come to classes. He offers his services to people who are looking to expand their knowledge in a verity of subjects;

His Lore is 65 (85 with take 20).
His weaponsmithing & Armor Smithing is at 34-36

Valtore always has time for his friends and listens to Nadin when he arrives.

Tohrm would go to Valtore in an attempt to help with his learning of Elvish and his writing of it.
On the otherhand, he goes to Valtore to help him with any lessons, in such a case...

Tohrm has very varied knowledge of Toril and the planes, most of it steming from either personal experience or his insatiable quest for gathering and preserving lost knowledge. He would help Valtore where possible, and since he speaks and reads Dwarvish, this might help them both communicate with Dwarvish lore to others.

If Tohrm was to find out Valtore was attempting to create a crystal weapon, he would demonstrate with his bardic magic the kind of effects such a blade would have, or if the magic itself would help in the creation of one. ((Sonic weapon or cacaphonic burst if he required more demonstrations)).

Valtore shows Tohrm his reforged longsword with the crystal in it. Telling him of how he discovered the long lost art of Crystal forging. He and others traveled to many lost places and found the rare ore needed to attune the crystal, the specail device needed in the forging process as well as the crystals themselves. However the ore and crystals are very rare and it took them a long time to find them. He did forge a great blade of Adamantine and Crystal, a true masterpiece that he gifted to the Coronal to show his graditude in her leadership and the fact that the elves have opened thier doors to those looking for a new life.

Present Nadin unsheats his own sword and shows it to Tohrm

- I had the honor, as mathor Ahraliniel, of have one of such blades crafted, this longsword was crafted by Valtore and myself. I would be honored too if you can teach me dwarvish my friend *to Valtore* and I can teach elven here as well. Besides this I have another thing I would like to discuss with you, but later and in more privacy, if you don't mind *grins politely* ((hope IG)).

"Seems like I'm the only person wit'out one!" Tohrm chuckled as Nadin presented his own blade, then shrugged. "I'll jus' wait fer an adamantine one at this rate, still, I'd 'ppreciated yer efforts teachin' me Elvish, I'm nay ver' quick yet an'... me accent butchers the language frankly." He grinned sheepishly, otherwise engaging in practicing the language or helping others if need be.

Valtore chuckles at that "aye twas a right good adventure!"

He then goes on to tell them that he would be honored to teach them elven and dwarven. He would be happy to talk to Nadine in private as well. (Will try to meet up IG).

As Tay'lin walks the streets of Myth Drannor she watches the gathering from a fair distance.
She leans against a tree and sighs deeply. She can't hear most of the conversation but few words carried with the winds had caught her ear. She glances towards Tohrm, lets a short chuckles out and shakes her head.
She then keep walking mumbling something about how embarrasing it would be to have nobles who can't speak elven.

Hork hears talk about this school. He is immediately interested in this as a possible place to learn writing. HE searches for the school and enters. "Hork learn writing stuff who show?" And stands there waiting for someone to answer.

*Arya rushes ( or tries to with the extra belly) to Valtore embracing him in a warm hug....Mister Deer at her heels*

"I think it is wonderful that you are teaching! Would you mind if I took as few classes? I am going a bit stir crazy and that would be a great way to keep busy"

Valtore greets her with a large grin "Of course Lass! I'd be happy ta teach ye anything ye wish ta know. Have ye made up the child's room yet? I know that takes a bit of time and effort. I am at yur disposal me dear friend. However I donna think we be havin any more drinkin games!" He finishes with a smirk and wink to the girl.

As he hears about Val's new project, Piak would come over as well every now and then. Not being a scholar, but quite experienced in several fields and far from being stupid, he would be mostly content to silently listen into lectures on topics he takes interest in, while when a topic arises that bores him he would not hesitate to leave the room silently, promoting an athmosphere of free and independent learning with his questions and in discussions.

Valtore holds regular lectures with the goal of including others is discussions and debates. After the recent events in the Lost Vale he has a nice session that explains the significance of the place and why it is important to keep safe. He talks of his own experiences there; meeting spirits of long dead Heroes who tested the defenders and gave them the ability to summon a Baelorn.

He also asks those who visit to talk of subjects they are comfortable to discuss; Piak about his Homeland, Algiers about him culture, maybe even Taeron about life among his people. Valtore's goal is to include others in teaching those interested in a verity of subjects.

Upon hearing about Valtore's offer - Taeron would send a letter to the academy.

"We might want to talk about this in person first... But I'm willing to help.
Taeron"

An increasingly rare sight these days - the old wanderer Zulon appears within the school for an actual public announcement rather than dull paperwork. Accompanied by a small group of his students from the planar academy who spread throughout the camp in their usual currrious study of the prime.

After informing the guards and spellguards of their numbers for monitoring as usual he gathers both students and faculty at the forum outside and speaks:

I have an annoucement to make. With my time being increasingly - and lately exclusively taken up by the work for the Academy in the Planes i feel it is high time for a change in hierarchy.
In my absence master Valtore has been performing the role of headmaster in all but name. I feel it is time to add the official authority of it as well.

Therefore i will officially retire and resign my office of headmaster of Myth Drannors Academy to master Valtore. He will have full authority on all matters to shape this academy as he sees fit.
I have been happy and remain grateful that this place has become all i founded it to be - and master Valtore carries no small part in this.

Headmaster Valtore will inherit my office *there is a hint of amusement in this* and all the paperwork that comes with it.
I will retreat from the academies business and only act as a link towards the planar academy for Master Valtore from now on.

After the announcement he also puts it in written form as a letter to Valtore, as well as the ruling body of Myth Drannor, who have a right to veto such a change.

Nadin reads the letter later in his office and smiles to himself.

- Sage one, good to hear news from you... hope I can find you later, that tea kit is dusty.

From his part Nadin signs agreeing with the document, and than he sends it to the lady Keeper Auryne, following the chain of command.
