Yet Another Dark Pact Mage Discovered

Maya reports about discovering new dark pact mage upon the lands of Cormanthor Edges which is nothing new since they are easily found being every second person on Dalelands selling souls or who knows what else to fiends, and how he was burning grass with fire. He claimed he has business here. She was not able to discover his name and he claimed that he is not connected with fiends, and he fled after failed to deceive Maya. She was able to memorize his look and this report was sent to the Circle and to Defenders along with drawing.

Maya reports about the progress she made in investigation against the dark pacter to the circle and defenders. "I witnessed this man again destroying nature with dark fire and trying to kill an elf he calls Calia. He ignored my warning and thought he can get away from it, tried to escape with invisibility potion and slapped the elf girl leaving me to deal with her so he can get away. Before I was able to help the elf she was killed by beastmen. I saw that my sister was behind me so I continued after the dark mage who was still invisible and lured me in crowds of beastmen. I was fast enough to avoid all their attacks and follow this dark mage, that my sister claims to be called Naldur, and I clouded his mind in Shadowdale Woods, where I was able to send him down to the ground with storms. I tied the man to show him as proof to my sister who later arrived with the dead elf and resurrected her. Unfortunately the elf considers this dark mage as friend and because she died she does not remember what he did to her. She untied him twice even with my warnings so I had to storm her down too. I also said that she will be reported to defenders and circle for aiding dark pacters but even then she chose to help him over the entire Myth Drannor, she said she lives in Shadowdale City and does not care. Naldur tried to twist her mind and was successful but I think that she was just stupid and used so I let her get away with it, offered her chance for redemption. I had to end life of the dark pacted warlock and that's it. The elf's name is Calia and she does not speak common very well, but she had instruments for playing music with her and I think she is moon elf. She had blue short hair with four short ponytails." Along with report Maya presents art of the elf so people can recognize her better just like they could Naldur.

Despite of trusting his sister Maya, Leo shows mercy and compassion to the Dark Pacter when they met once in Frost Goblin Cave, but he was being marked by Leo. It wasn't too long before the Pact Mage and Lyon met again. His presence was noticed on lands of Myth Drannor. Following the scent and tracks, Leo ended in Valley of Lost Voices, were the foot prints on the ground became deeper and bigger, with size of those terrible fiends. When Leo finally arrived, there was wall of dark flame between him and the fiend. Although this form could not fool Leo's eyes. Seeing the beginning of the coming disturbance on the sacred land for elves, where Leo entered with permission given by Karovir few months ago when previously tragedy struck the land and its elven spirits, Leo asked him to stop his deeds right now. The Fiend did not answer to Leo and kept casting walls of dark flames between them, when some strange voices came from the devil that made no sense to Leo. After not cooperating with Leo for the third time, he was left no choice but to remove the creature from the scared ground that was casting dark powers on it. Leo grabbed his new great sword from his back with two hands preparing to attack, when a green blast came from the fiend. Leo relaxed his sword next to him with one hand, while with other hand he blocked the blast during sylvan recitation of spell resistance.



When fiend's attack finished, Leo gripped his and rushed at the fiend through the wall of dark flame and attacked him with heavy swings. His new weapon had no problem to slash through the skin of the fiend, but even then the fiend was too strong. Fiend moved quickly towards the Myth Drannor walls, away from reach of Leo's roar. To be able to catch him, Leo recited another spell on sylvan, speeding his body with lighting, and followed the fiend in Myth Drannor walls, where the battle continued. The fiend tried to enter the cave and make his way towards Entrance to Myth Drannor but Leo was able to cut his way and push him back.



He created gate to Celestial Planes from where a Solar answered the call and joined Leo in battle on Material realm. Together they were able to bring the fiend near death, and in all the heat now, the fiend tried to surrender. But it was too late, Leo knew that Angel would not spare him, that it would be bad seeing saving fiends in front of the all druids and defenders who were present (NPCs), and that he already used all his chances that Leo gave him for last three weeks, including today. He was slain down by the Solar, and Leo then called other defenders, Auryne and Corb, to take it from here. Not that threat was removed today, but also Leo was pleased he was able to prove his sister Maya's words about this tricky warlock. But such evil never rests for long, that is well known to Leo, he has been finding his way back before, and it is unknown what future brings, and will it bring him again.
