Banite in a Cell

After the battle at the Krag Approach, the limp body of Audrey Unterminox can be seen being carried over Vincent's shoulder; she is easily recognizable by her long, bright red hair hanging down around the knight's knees as he walks.  It is not long that she finds herself in a sky cell, trying to stay away from the bars and the long drop below.  After her initial interrogation, her armor and belongings are stripped from her and she is left in her padded clothing she wears under her heavy full plate.

The priestess refuses any food, but will drink any water offered.  When she thinks no one is watching,mshe curls up into the fetal position in the middle of the cell and cries softly as she mourns the children she was told had perished before any battle began, and the unknown status of the others she was leading to Krag.  The rest of the time she is left alone, she will either sleep, or state blankly over the canopy of trees.

The Soldiers stationed on the ropebridges overlooking the Skycells keep a close eye on the important prisoner, an arrow always knocked ready.

Before anyone goes to meet with Audrey, Nadin talks with the person, or let with a sentry his words. Unless authorized by a high officer, only Akh'Velahr and councillors can meet interrogate or talk with her.

- I ask you to tell her the kids are dead, that her allies had success in the mass murder of infants, in case she asks about them. The more secretive can be they are alive and well to the banites, the better. Remenber the orphanage was attacked before, and clues link the zhentarim as guilty of the homicide of at least eleven children, even if I suspect this an act of their black network or the sharrans, it is a risk that this information reaches the zhentarim. If you decide to advice her anyway, be adviced the history can repeat, even if eventually not done by her hands, and they already tried kill these kids, still I'll not stop you.

Mara can be seen standing guard near the boatman in Rimwood.  Any she doesn't know she will question what their purpose is going to Myth Drannor.  Always at the ready with her sword drawn.  A very stern and angry look to her face should any approach to speak with her.

with blue mage out an about he hears of kids being slaughtered by zhents and it being known of his temper.. he would often pass by never approaching but visibly barely able to control him self wanting to end her life..

but also aware of a few extra guards when he is anywhere close to the area of the barracks or the cells.. tho hard as it is and him believing the children are dead he generaly avoids the area all together except to get to the library..

The elf pauses for a moment before continue, in a calm and respectful tone.


- I heard you plan to build a house near the Theather... know that the Akh'Velahr will not interfere in the Theather, I can grant you this... still I can't avoid to ask you, why don't you come to live with us? You ever was welcomed here, you, your husband and the kids you will have, you all are.

Vincent takes a portion of each of his day as she is there to simply go to her cell and watch. He doesn't speak much, after his initial interrogation. The Knight stands with his arms crossed, a hand gently holding his chin thinking, and watching the Banite Priestess.

She nods but does not smile in her usual manner

I will think on it.  I will build my own home in solitude and quiet away from others.  There is a Tempus follower out there that will help me with a shrine to our gods.  But for now I will stand here until I am needed further.  Thank you Keeper.

The elf nods, his own usual grin reduced to an almost imperceptible one, as he has his own memories to accept and live with them as well.

- Of course, have all the time you need, and I'm certain whatever you decide, will be for the best... still I have to add, you're missed not only as a good citizen in Myth Drannor, so I had to let you know... Please whatever you decide, inform me if you can. Take care my friend, you and your family, sweet waters and light laughers.

In the first sun rays of morning in the next day, Nadin walks the barracks towards the cells area, he stands before Audrey cell and allow her some time to wake up, or compose herself in case she is awake. The sun elf shows no emotion at all while he looks at her direction, with no helmet and with his reflecting golden hair, light bronze face skin and brightfull dark green eyes, waiting patiently to start the interrogatory.

The elf doesnt seems intimidated, maybe due her current condition, maybe cause he can be cold blooded enough, his expression apparently void of emotions, still at some moments he seems to pause briefly to take breath.

- It seems history repeats itself... about one year ago eleven children were massacred in Myth Drannor, the clues indicated zhentarim involvement, one of yours spies, Etienne was caught in the ocasion, but fled later, he gave several names and some plans, this helped us, but not in the investigation of this crime. We know three people were involved in this, someone able to produce huge explosive flames, a woman that likes disguises and could be blond but I doubt, and an orc blooded one. Now 6 children were set in explosive flames by zhentarim and are gone. Tell me what you know about the massacre in Myth Drannor.

She looks at Nadin and just laughs.  "Oh yes because the evil Zhentarim is the only force in the Dales capable of this atrocity?  If you truly wish to find those responsible, I suggest you widen you search and not focus solely on the most obvious choice."

- The sharrans, with or without the aid of the black network... they are my real best suspects, still it was your spy that was there present to see the aftermath. But you dont know all your men right? Some of them are probably sharrans too, as you were allied with them. I know you have cyricians there too, could be them? Possibly... I don't even know why I'm wasting time here, like you would care for any children at all... still you could care to the fact your enemies have spies within your ranks, as probably Etienne was, by the anxiety in give information... still he was obviously a neophyte.

Audrey looks at Nadin a moment before letting out a soft sigh and shaking her head. "It would seem you are stuck in the past.  The Zhentarim have not had Cyricists walking among us for the last six years when Bane resurrected himself using his son, Xvim, as his vessel.  In fact, we immediately kill any Cyricist we find.  They are mad and chaotic, a danger to everyone within the realm.  As for this orphanage, we had nothing to do with it; though I would not tell you if we did."

I know you would not, monsters like you care not for any children, unless you can shape them in new monsters... But six cant be turned anymore, thanks again, to beasts like you. You should had adopted devil kids, they would have more of the family ressemblance. About cyricians... I would be not so fast in presume they arent within your ranks, you recruit anyone and anything in the most careless fashion possible, youre probably a farm of spies. Anyway Ill not waste more time, I knew already you would tell nothing, but I had to see with my eyes how cold can be a child killer.

Audrey stares after him with angry eyes, then slumps against the bars of the cell as her refusal of food begins to catch up with her.  She slides down to the floor and curls up into a little ball and lies there without sleeping.

As the days pass, the priestess continues to refuse food and sinks into a deep depression as the lives of her children, and the loss there of, weighs heavily upon her heart.  She now spends all of her time curled up in a little ball in the middle of the cell with her back to the door; either sleeping, or simply staring out across the trees.

Karovir comes to visit Audrey again holding a box in his hands. He first doesn't say a word and instead examines the small area around the cell. Then he turns the box on it's side and places it on a spot outside Audrey's cell which seems to be the best spot for her to see the box and hardly be able to avoid seeing it. He then opens the box and Audrey would see a cut of hand with curled fingers and the middle finger extended. Then Karovir steps away from the box in order to talk to her.
