The following can be found posted about Shadowdale in various easy-to-see locales such as on the outside of the inn as you enter the door, the wall heading into the Zhentarim barracks, the old barn, the message board, and so on.

A service in honor of the Most Dread and Magnificent Lord Bane shall be held at the end of this ten-day at midnight upon the ruins of Morning Dawn Hall. All are welcome, most especially the faithful and the curious.

Word of mouth would make it clear that another public service is to be held at the end of the following ten-day upon the ruins of Morning Dawn Hall at midnight.

Whispered rumors would state that the ruined temple had been consecrated to Bane with the life of a sacrificed Tormite paladin. There would appear to be some truth to the rumors as the mutilated body of a known paladin can still be found days after the fact upon a pike in the center of Shadowdale -- skin flayed from the waist down, the word "INFIDEL" burnt into the corpse's chest, the knee-caps and right hand missing, and the heart apparently torn out given the gaping wound directly beneath the rib-cage.

Activity at the site would indicate construction in progress. A tarp currently shields the roofless space from the elements and a new doorway has been placed at the front. Two banners are draped at the entrance on either side of the door bearing the black hand squeezing forth green rays symbol of Bane.
