To those few present at Myth Drannor gates when the first sun rays touch the city of songs, several hundreds of soldiers are aligned and making a march to Starwood. Leading them the Keeper personally memorizes those in charge of each platoon. The soldiers organized as an army can possibly be are all camouflaged, and it's hard to point the rule of each one, as they all dress similarly. Nadin joins them with other officers as they vanish into the forest.

as the elven Army marches in platoons through the forest searching for the Drow, the first skirmishes are fought with drow scouts and raiding parties. The Drow seem to avoid the army only striking at selcet few Platoons

As news come about the first confronts with drow, Nadin passes instructions to the officers with him, to pass in the chain of command up to each platoon leader

- This is the warfare they want to do, ambushes and fast kills, and this is why we are to give the wrong impression they have an upper hand, so they can feel tempted to strike. We have to antecipate their moves and ambush the ambushers; check if the scouts are going in pairs, they are not to attack but to advice those platoons walking to the ambush. Be certain the communications aren't interrupted amongst the platoons, otherwise they will divide us to conquer. All platoons with injuried or slained soldiers that are lacking numbers to be effective are to join the nearest platoons to the direction of the center of the formation, and those more far are to rearrange; we will lose reach but will not be divided. And of course, look for all those hurt, we're not leaving anyone behind.

Nadin himself in the center of the formation does not make much effort to hide himself, and stand in the frontier along with other officers.

Corb could go talk with the Keeper and ask him to control some Faerns.

"Keeper Nadin, I would like manage some faerns. I want to coordinate they to prepare some spells to help the scouts and the front soldiers."

Corb nods to Nadin and walks between the army grouping some Faerns.

"Fellow Akh'Faerns, I will mount three groups of mages.

I am doing this to coordinate the spells to ward better our army.

Those who can cast the sixth circle of spells will be the group A and will ward our officers.

Those who can cast at maximum the fourth circle of spells will be the group B and will ward our front soldiers.

Those who can cast at maximum the third circle of spells Will be the group C and will ward our scouts.

The group A, B and C shall prepare the following spells:"

He says the list slowly and repeat if anyone ask him.

"Endure Elements, See Invisibility, the greater version of Magic Weapon, Keen Edge, Magic Circle Against Evil. Those who can cast spells with longer effects shall prepare the extended versions of the See Invisibility.

The group A and B shall prepare in addition to these Greater version of Resistence, the extended Greater version of Magic Weapon and the protection from energy.

The group A, in addition to these, shall prepare the superior version of Resistence, greater version of Heroism and Chasing Perfection.

Those who needs a copy of anyone of this spells can call me and I will write a copy.

And remember to prepare spells to ward you too.

And, if possible, remember to prepare some scrolls of grease to help the scouts to ambush the ambushers.

Any doubts?"

It seems you have this in hand. We only need keep in mind some officers don't require buffs as they already have them in wands, rods or other magical devices. While I agree the scouts need buffs to see invisibility, I do say the other wards have to be optional in case the caster have ways to share these without compromise their own necessary spells, but you already clarified this when said they shall not forget their own wards. Our akh'faern resource is more limited, and we better not risk them unecessarily. I say we need too those with fireball wands and able to summon earth elementals well distributed in case we bump in a drow subterran hideout. Keep up the good work Faern.

Celovar would do as instructed, still sarcastic and cocky, but his moves seem more calculated and he takes his men under him with deep consideration not risking there lives and taking more on if he suspects they cannot handle it.

The Army of Myth Drannor spread in Platoons over a large area get constantly attacked by skirmishing Drow raiding parties. The Drow try to hit and run and avoid to engage in melee at all.
Some platoon are very succesful in suprising the Drow in turn by luring them into traps and using other platoons as baits. Some are less fortunate and are wiped out entirely.

During quiet moments, My'manir will command the druids in her platoon to shapechange into dire-badgers and to dig hidden traps all about her covered area. When the time comes to face drow again, she commands her archers to shower arrows onto the dark elves and to lure them off towards the hidden traps on the ground.
She also requests that if the druids can turn the flora and fauna around them against the drow, that they may do so. She tells the druids to keep wolves handy to track the drow by scent and asks them to use the snakes of the forest to keep track of the drow by heat and that they alert My'manir of any uncovered drow so the archers may know where to shoot.

The infantry of My'manir's platoon remains close to the archers. They will only come out if the archers are threatened in melee range. Otherwise the soldiers remain with shields high and ready to fend off stray arrows.
If there is any casualty in her formation she gestures priests to drag off the wounded.
Finally, she commands the few mages(if any) that are under her orders to maintain spells of stoneskin, see-invisibility and Gust of wind always available for her soldiers.

My'manir will always attempt to catch a drow alive for later interrogation. If possible she will get a mage to freeze them in a prison of ice with a spell and then drag the drow off towards a safe location to become a prisoner of war.

My'manirs tactic prove succesful as she is lucky to have one of the Platoons under her command that has a Druid assigned to it.
The Platoon manages to capture two Drow alive who become trapped in the pitfalls and dont manage to retreat with their bethren.

A courier with a missive would be sent off to Nykerym Celovar that she has captured two drow alive for later interrogation.

Otherwise, she remains with the same tactics until(and if) the battleground shifts unfavorably in her area.

Nadin passes orders to officers to pass to all patrol leaders that its time to return. They will go the same way back, using the same organization they used to advance, but more tightly now with more in the point of the spear, since those injuried that still weren't brought back to Myth Drannor, will now go in the main of the army with some officers and the Keeper. The patrol leaders are instructed to not delay their return and go back with the army. Those who fell will receive apropriate funeral rites as much fast as possible or be brought back to the seldarine temple if possible, except to any body wich retrieval was not possible for any reason.
