The Silverhand Estate

Valerie, the old lady, as a request from Harvestmistress Julia, heads up to the the Silverhand Estate and starts searching for any signs of Storm Silverhand. She doesn't mention the reason she's there to anyone who asks . . . she just looks for Storm.

Valerie, any news about that my dear?

A lone hooded figure walks up to the remains of the estate, looking it over for some time. After a few minutes, she makes her way toward the old woman who seems to be wandering the halls.

"Might I ask what you're doing?"

The old woman pauses in her examination of the house and turns to the hooded figure.  She takes a few moments to look the person over before responding.  

"Looking for rumors, lass.  And you never know what you're going to find when you do that." The old woman leans on her walking stick just like you'd expect an old woman to do. "There's a ghost upstairs that needs some company. She's been alone for a good long while. I was thinking of taking up some more flowers. Mayhap you'd like to go up with me?"

"Rumours are quite the random thing." The hooded figure replies, her voice clearly that of a woman's. "What sort of flowers were you thinking of bringing?"

The old woman nods her agreement to the hooded woman. "That they are, lass. Maybe we should go ask her what kinds of flowers her sister liked. Something to remind her that not everyone who's missing is necessarily lost."

The old woman and the younger hooded one carry a few apples into the house with them. They're in there for a while and eventually the old woman exits alone.

The old woman returns to the house a few days later with a basket of flowers; lilies if anyone is curious enough to notice them. She spends a half hour or so in the house and leaves with the basket empty.

((If anyone visits the attic in the house they'd likely notice that lilies are hanging from the rafters in cute bouquets.))

Valerie spends a lot of time one afternoon bringing what lillies she can find up into the attic of the old mansion. She talks about whatever seems to come to mind to the ghost trapped up there before finishing her work. "It'll likely be some time before I can come back, lass. Hopefully not too long but Shadowdale needs allies right now more than it needs to have an old woman around, I think. Don't know if you've ever been to Scardale but I've got kin there. Should be nice."

She'd finish up a few more adjustments to the flowers and then smiles a warm smile at the ghost. "I'll try to have someone drop by on occasion but can't say for sure if I'll be able to find someone willing to do it."

She pauses for a moment before closing the attic door and heading downstairs.

Today a hooded dwarf entered the build he had not been to in years. The spiders that once challenged him and a group of friends back then fell easily to his sword now as he made his way to the top floor. Once there he looked upon the spirit of the woman still trapped in this realm. Slowly he drew his Divine sword, it's blessed light pushing back the darkness. Under that light the hooded dwarf began to read the poor girl poetry from an ancient time. Sonnets that have not been heard in nearly an age. He converses with the spirit and tells her of forgotten tales and histories lost to the sands of time...

Though the spirit doesn't seem to say much in return, the air of sorrow that normally fills the place seems to lift, if only for but a moment.

*Julia can be seen in the few moments that she has free, searching and inquiring for someone in particular next to the Silverhand Estate. She also goes inside and walks straight to the top floor.*

The mournful spirit floats and doesn't react to the presence of those in the house. Any questions asked of her go unanswered.
