leaving

I am once again parting ways with this server/community. It pains me as I have been trying hard along with other players such as the now recently banned Xenerize to get the Vhaeraunite faction going. This community has grown so stagnant and the lack of DM involvment so obvious (from my play time prospective) That is more then discouraging as a player.

I want to thank a few people for being awesome and I hope we can continue to keep in touch despite my choice to ditch this game.

Okay. First of all--the complaint of lack of 'DM involvement' isn't the DM's fault. Like, at all. As you said,

As far as I know, (this isn't targeted at any of the Jaelre as a whole) the Jaelre have only been around for a brief few weeks. That is VERY little time for plot-gathering and asking for DM attention.

And, some of the DM's that play playerside, they RARELY get any events themselves, because they do it for us. I -really- wish some people would stop being blind, selfish and throw absurd accusations without proof.

And also, think of the ones who donate to keep this server going for all of us. I don't know who all donates... but, I'd sure like to see names and how much.

No..not really. Many people have been very frustrated with various things in the past and have become passionate and vocal.

However calling people out on the public forum isn't cool regardless of how upset you are. It doesn't do anything to help any situation other then cause people to become negative. If the Staff edits it then they look like the they are suppressing.

Regardless of your reasons for leaving I wish you well, either with a new server or with finding a new past time. I know a long break helps in any event.

I dont see any update on the banned list thread. Anyways we need to give DM events for the core RP groups first, mainly the Myth Drannor elves, the Banites and the LOLTHITE DROW.

Giving DM events to small factions that are hard to lace with the main RP storyline often leads to little results. Especially when that whole faction often just hide in their corner and keep quiet all the time. Vhaerunites are like Yuan-ti's, you re bad ass, you stealth and infiltrate societies... and then what? That's it. You wont progress any further, even if 5 DM's starts giving you quests and dung.

But will you be back on the forums in three days, then back on the server in a month? Because that's how it seems to happen with everyone who makes one of these posts (or joins in on leaving in a thread.)

It's kind of funny, because even when someone flips out and ragequits, they ultimately want to come back because it's one of the few servers worth playing on. Hell, I was gone for a full year trying to sort real life out and attempt to break my crack-like addition to NWN2 RP, but the sweet sweet call of it is not to be ignored.
