blue would send a letter to valtore that he would be arriving in shdowdale in a day or so and from there make his way to the tower and ask he meet him outside he send the following a copy of his invited letter as well..

valtore my dear friend,

I will be arriving in shdowdale and make my way to the tower in a day or so now.. here is a copy of an invite I received and what I will be mainly doing while I am there..

I hope you would show me around and after to the place I need to study..

I also look forward to catching up with you on the many things you have seen since we last spoke..

When the Blue mage reaches the tower Valtore lets him in and once more locked the door. He escorts him to the second floor where the strange magical device is located. "Tis some sort of defensive apparatus that was left powered down. Taeron wanted ta know how it could be used and in what way it will be of use ta tha defense of the town." He gives him space to study as he returns to his task of inventory of the books and items found in the tower. When the priests sent by Lady Julia arrive he goes and collects Blue to eat. After the meal and discussions on what they found he returns once more to his tasks.

blue would study and when valtore says food he stops goes and eats and drinks thanking Julia and the priests..

he would hand Julia letters from the kids

blue would smirk as he handed them to her.. and inform her nothing has been learned of yet from this thing..

he would say "hey don't look at me you started the piggy back rides *laughs*"

he would follow valtore back into the tower after that he would chat with val about things that happened and what he had found so far as well to see if anything may have been found to help with what he was studying.. as they walked he would talk to valtore when they reached the room blue would sit and stare a moment as if trying to feel the magic that was used like he was discerning its type arcane or divine or even pact magic.. then after staring and feeling it out he would look for the runes if any and sketch them down on a parchment starting at the top and working his way down..

After receiving reports of people coming and going from the Twisted Tower, Vincent gathers a small force of troops. Once gathered, he'd lead them to the Tower, hand casually resting upon his blade handle approaching the structure. Upon arriving to the Tower, he'd make his entry, seeking answers.

Following behind Vincent, Glamerie holds her staff tightly with both hands, unsure of what to expect. There had been no mention of other expeditions into the tower, nor any discussion of what to do with it and after Julia's report of possible tunnels to the Underdark and drow, the Harvest Mistress turned Mayor expected the worst.

Valtore would meet them at the door. He would inform them that Taeron and Julia had assessed the situation. The possible drow tunnels are in the lower basement. The group believed them to be closed off, however to be safe Valtore offered to stay behind to make sure nothing comes from below. He is also doing an inventory for the council of the books left behind. Taeron and Julia requested that Blue look at the magical device on the second floor. While he understands thief concerns, he assures them no one is invading or laying claim to the tower. Valtore's main concern is random "adventurers" will try to loot the tower before a detailed inventory can be presented to the council. If they believe he can not be trusted with this he will leave in short order.

If and when the Council and leadership of Shadowdale decides what is to be done with the tunnels that are collapsed that connect to the Underdark he will gladly offer his help if it is desired. However he would suggest they talk to Lady Julia and Taeron as they are more aware of the situation.

Glamerie smiles and looks relieved upon finding Valtore, though hearing his report causes her brow to crease slightly.

"Thank you, very much for all your help Sir Valtore." Glamerie says with a smile. "I would very much appreciate it if you could continue to take your inventory. Vincent, please post a contingent of guards at the door to make sure no one disturbs Sir Valtore in his work."

"I will be speaking with Militia Commander Taeron and High Harvest Mistress Julia to ensure things are clearer in the future. For now, please be sure to report your findings directly to myself or Deputy Mayor Vincent. Once again, I thank you very much for all your efforts."

Nodding once to Valtore, she continues to the second floor where she expects to find Blue mage.

Taeron orders a group of mixed veterans and new recruits under the command of a promising young captain to the Twisted tower. Their mission is not to get in the way of the investigation and make sure the safety of the town is a top priority. They respond to orders from the Blue mage, Valtore, Vincent or Julia, but the captain files a report to Taeron every day.

Upon seeing Taeron bring this troop in and the orders he gives them, Glamerie turns to Taeron and asks him softly.

"I would like to speak to you and Julia, immediately." She says, her tone mild. Raising her voice, she addresses the troops Taeron brought in. "I would like to make an amendment to your orders." She smiles. "You are in command here, Captain, unless relieved by a superior such as Taeron, Vincent, or myself. As such, you may chose to deny requests from Blue, Valtore, or the High Harvest Mistress if you deem them to be too dangerous or risky. Use your best judgement Captain, if the Militia Commander has faith in you, then I do as well."

I just asked the Blue Mage, who is a distinct member of our City Guild of Mages, to investigate the artifact of arcane energy in the second floor, to provide a suplement to my previous report for the Council, with complete information of how to use and regulate this powerful device to protect Town, period.

Not having seen this letter Julia wrote, Glamerie has no idea what it actually says.

"Do you not think it a good idea to let the Mage's Guild know what possible powerful and magical artifacts are in our town?" Glamerie asks. "This was not your decision to make. I'm very disappointed in you, Julia. I thought you wiser than this."

Blue is a Member of the Mage's Guild, so I thought I was officially informing them,

I have profound respect for our City Wizards, so it was me who asked him to form the City Mage's Guild in the day we recovered the City from the Zhents, he can testify that,

if there is a misunderstanding, it didn't came from my part M'lady.

After listening to the Mayor publicly disrespect his friend in front of Blue, Deputy Mayor Vincent, the men he dragged to the tower, Taeron and the Men he brought to the tower and himself Valtore just quietly asks "Perhaps you can drag her inta tha middle of town and flog her? Worked fur that last Leader of Shadowdale."

Glamerie smiles toward Valtore and replies just as quietly. "I'm certain you are merely speaking up for your friend. I commend you for your loyalty, however, I will remind you that I did ask to speak with her in private. She chose to speak up before we found that private place. You may feel as if I'm being disrespectful toward her, perhaps? You're free to think that, however I would ask that you not make such suggestions in the future, especially when you've no idea as to why I'm so upset."

"If you wish to speak further on the matter, we can do so in private. Now, if you'll excuse me, I do believe the High Harvest Mistress and myself to have a discussion to continue in private."

She bows her head and starts moving away from the reset of the group to find a quiet corner.

blue hands glamerie a copy of the letter Julia sent to him (feel free to read the one in the post) as well he admits he has not met with the mages in shdowdale as of yet since he went to their temporary base of operation and look at the inn as well walked about town and hasn't seen hide nor hair of any of them yet and that he finds this in its self abit concerning..

he reassures her her concern is overly cautious concerning him he would not ask them to do something he felt or even suspected as dangerous.. (self edited).. but he does not mind the added security as it keeps thieves out and greedy adventurers from accidently triggering anything whether the know it or not..

while he may be genuine in concern it is apparent his battle hardened old self was very well in appearance as he spoke occasionaly reminding her that he helped saved the town and that if asked he would simply pack up and leave with out a problem as he was only there at the request of an old friend..

and obviously none of the council of mages having been found it fell on him to investigate and file reports in time with them as well as the leadership of shadowdale..

he also looks at Vincent rather peeved and explained I would expect this from her as she has never traveled with me before but you Vincent I am rather disappointed in beings you have known me since your arrival as one of the faithless back in them days..

it saddens me greatly you of all people think I would harm anyone here.. *he would shrug at Vincent*
I guess that's what happens when power goes to your head you forget who your friends were and are..

seemingly both disappointed and a bit angered by it all he waves them off and goes back to study in peace and quiet and pretty much is hardly seen outside the tower again tho now and then when Julia shows or a mage he trust from the town shows he will halt his study and come out and speak.. or when requested by taeron he comes out.. he always leaves his notes inside tho..and only brings out any he has confirmed for sure out to show while what he speculates on is left inside.. he can often be heard grumbling about always having to work and barely seeing his kids..

when or if where he works is seen by anyone they would see a desk blank parchments and ink well and quill a chair and a bed roll or two as changes spots now and them for reverie.. they would see a table with bits of fruits on it some jerky a picture of tea and a glass basically the room he works in would have a bit of a homeless vide to it things scattered at random he would snap at any trying to arrange or clean it up as he knows where what is when he allows them in that is otherwise he wards the door tho open a force blocks all from entering.. it would be obvious he was rather agitated by the way people acted and he would rather be alone than deal with them until he had too..

occasionaly it would be seen a package coming in some vented and the smell of fruits would emanate from the vents or smells of jerky and herbs on occasion would be smelled others not vented would have sweets or contain letters to him from staff council or even defenders.. they would only see these briefly when or if he opened them outside the tower.. he would also hand his brother mithral tubes containing letters to his family which he does not share nor open as they are private.. and if demanded he simple says it is not of your concern you have no need to view them nor will you *bluntly*

he thinks back now and then on things and having seen it first hand now he doesn't want to believe there is more going on in the leadership than simple learning to rule as those in charge have not been so before.. not on this scale at least.. but the occasional thought slips in and cause him concern non the less..

tho tired and honestly felt disrespected he accepted a request from a friend and will see it thru to its end or what he himself decides is the end of his envolvement..

when seen outside the tower it is never long to most the longest he stays out is with Julia, Taeron, or if green or purple show up he may stay out talking to them as well but as of lately he hasn't seen them yet.. at those times he could be seen even with a smile while when anyone else shows he is rather straight faced no real emotion shows.. he can also when out of the tower be seen constantly talking to valtore.. but never much is heard past the occasional ah ha or ahh I see or damn I didn't think of that..

in most cases their conversations are kept private and is mostly idle chit chat.. what is talked about inside the tower is never heard nor mentioned by blue..

when and if he has something to report he makes copies and sends them to Julia taeron valtore mages guild in town and of course the council tho this would be far and few in between

blue would often send word back to myth drannor via his house guards and delivered to the keeper coronal and mage tower..

that tho he felt disrespected otherwise he was fine and working hard to figure out what this thing of power was and that he hoped he would soon tho uncertain as to when for sure he would return to his home land.. he would also make note that tho he hoped it so it would probably be longer than he expected.. but to those sending him foods or drinks he appreciated it..

Valtore heads back inside the building and continues his work. He grumbles about human politics and bruised egos. When the priestess arrive with food he just takes a sandwich and waves them off, ignoring any attempts at conversation and just continues his work.

Vincent rolls his eyes at Blue's little speech, giving the man a grin as he speaks.

"I had no idea you were in here, nor Valtore. The only knowledge I had was that a group was going to come back at another time. Never was it specified when this time would be, nor who would be going in. Blame Julia, for not sharing any information with Glamerie or myself. For all I knew, something was happening here with the constant reports of people coming back and forth from this tower."

He lets out a small laugh, leaving the troops that he brought with to help protect the tower and leaving them under the Captains command that Taeron had come along.

"Claiming power has gotten to my head, that is quite the insult for reacting to a situation I had no knowledge of."

Vincent shakes his head to Blue as he just leaves the tower after everything.
