Planning

Mara can be seen more and more around Shadowdale these days with a smile to her face with a parchment and quill making notes.  If any were to look at the parchment they would see the title of Wedding plans.  She would be seen talking to a few merchants about arrangements.  She can be seen sending messages to Myth Drannor to Auryne about the wedding.

As she returns to the House of Plenty from the Lathanderite Shrine, Sophia would nod to Mara, smiling

" Lovely night my dear, I bid you a sweet and Mother grant you a safe night."

She looks up from her notes and smiles. "Greetings my child."

" Everything alright"

Looks at the Parchment

" Are you taking notes?"

"You could say that...I'm planning a wedding. Trying to get everything set up."

"Oh"

Looking to Mara, she sits next to her

" Well my dear, I am pleased for you. But may I ask, have you decided on the Platters? The Layout, the Food, the Cake, and such?"

A Smile crosses her face

" If you wish I could cook you a few samples closer to the date, so you can decide and everything can run smoothly"

Smiles as she stands

"Well originally it was going to be in the Ironhouse Halls. But I don't think that will be happening. As far as foods and such I don't think I'm going to do anything like that as it is kind of a rush. We are doing this at the end of the year. "

While Mara still talks to Sophia, all of a sudden a voice can be heard from close behind her.
"That really was about time", Piak remarks as he glances at the parchment over Mara's shoulder.

She smiles at the voice. "Hello Piak. And I know its about time. Tae and I had a long talk and decided we should do this finally. "

Mara can be seen looking at some plots of land for a cottage. Also talking with a few of the construction men about what it would cost and how long it would take.

Should Sophia see Mara, around Shadowdale, she would approach the woman with a box, and hand it to her, simply smiling at her saying

" I know the woes of planning can be somewhat stressful upon ones own heart, and I mean no disrespect my dear,but I baked these for you, comfort food in a sense."

Smiling to her she would listen to Mara

Skew would smile to Sofia. "Thank you my dear. Yes it can be stressful especially when I do little time. I have to get word out that it will be soon other wise a lot of my friends won't be able to make it."
She starts writing down names as she open the box to snack on a few of the goodies.

After spending the majority of his busy day looking over the towns defenses, being in meetings, talking casually with the locals and seeing how all the merchants and businesses are doing he finally spots Mara. A small smirk forms on his face as he excuses himself from the people he's talking to.

Slowly he approaches Mara, his hands casually behind his back, hand within hand. As he gets close to her, he looks her over slowly and speaks.

"So, starting to miss us finally?"

"Well I missed my betrothed. And I have a wedding to plan by the end of the year. It's going to be here in Shadowdale do the town won't be left unguarded."

"So the wedding is finally happening? Congratulations."

He chuckles softly

"It's an honor to have it here, though I thought you originally desired it at the Ironhouses? Either way, if you need anything regarding the wedding, or anything else, just simply ask and I'll do my best to help"

"Thank you Vincent. Originally it was going to be in the Ironhouse halls but plans change. I think we are going to try and have it be as small as possible...if that's possible." She chuckles.

He grins slightly.

"Our wedding was quite small, it was very enjoyable. I do hope you can get the small wedding you wish for. Shadowdale has several lovely locations for such a thing, and if you plan on any after party, I could offer my house for it."

"Thank you Vincent that would be lovely."

*bryanna approaches looking a bit harried and carrying a leather folder with some papers in it*

"Hello miss," she says absently to Mara.

Turning to Vincent she starts to rattle rapidly, "Vincent I need you to sign these papers making the decision on the land boundary between the Goodman's farmstead and the Northhorn farmsteads official, as well as this paper to release the funds we're loaning the Brackenridge family, and you need to review the proposal the Crantinsons made about trying to log Harper Hill." She hands the folder off to Vincent and curtsies to the pair.

"If you'll forgive me I need to go run some messages for the Mayor down to the militia headquarters next... be well! Oh and don't forget you have a meeting with the Orphans tomorrow to tell them about Helm." And she's off at a quick walk again.

Being handed the leather folder he just blinks at Bryanna as she tells him all of the information. Once she walks off again he just blinks some more and looks to the folder.

"How many times do I have to tell the Crantinsons that logging near Harper Hill is dangerous.."

Grumbles slightly before adjusting the folder beneath his arm with a soft sigh

"Well, it seems I have to return to my desk and get this all completed before I make a small trip to the Lathanderites.. It was good seeing you Mara, I hope all goes well with the planning and the wedding. And as always, Helm guard you my friend."

Smiles warmly to her and bows his head before departing towards his house.

Mara can be seen running about Shadowdale trying to get things organized for the wedding. When she sees Taeron she would ask for his input on where they want to have ceremony.

Her notes would show the reception would be held in the Inn. The dress will be in route soon from Baldurs Gate.
