Responding to a goblin threat

Shortly after the recent mess around the goblin barn, a considerable group of militia is forming nearby. Militia commander can be seen ordering the troops around - it seems a groups is preparing to venture into the goblin tunnels - perhaps mounting a counter-offensive.

The milita follow Taeron's orders, collecting the bodies of thier two fallen comrads and the four of the five peasents who where killed in the attack. One of the bodies (a beggers) is left behind the barn "forgotten".

They build waist high walls around the barn to enclose it. A number of peasents and onlookers gather to see what is going on, hushed whispers of goblins and worse monsters go through the crowd. Some claim to have heard an adventurer claim drow were under the town.

A few children gather not far from Taeron watching the large man bark orders. A woman selling fruit works the crowd.

Katarina walks towards the Barn and presents herself to Taeron "Strength and Honor, I am Katarina Noltem of the Grey Wolf Tribe and member of the Auxiliary Militia designed by Secretary Bryanna Lovich. Need any help from me here?" she would say looking around and preparing her greataxe just in case.

Wouldn't mind having more from your division here. We have to sweep the barn and the tunnels below and sending in an army isn't the smartest thing. This calls for a small task force.

*Taeron calls three militiamen and sends them off into the camp to try and gather more Auxiliary Militia members. He then turns back to Katarina.*

Are you any good with that? *nods towards the axe*

((Also, I am not sure if Taeron can stumble upon the dead body - or if he can notice it. But if yes, please let me know.))

Katarina puts the axe over her shoulder "I can sneak in and behead the chief or deal some damage as a front-line fighter, whatever you prefer. I have some synergy with fighters that use shields, they draw attention and I hit vulnerable spots but as I said, if you need me as a front-line fighter I can do that too"

Upon a closer inspection Katarina seems to be using a fine crafted leather armor with several symbols, Uthgdar, Tempus, The Red Knight and Tymora. Although she has facial tattoos by the way she talks and thinks you can see she wasn't born in a tribe.

*Ravossel just so happens to be in shadowdale buying some random items, and supplies, or . . . . that was the case when she caught wind of possible trouble brewing just north of the central part of Shadowdale. with a sigh knowing how in the past how her help was rejected multiple times, she still heads north seeing whats up. After a fast walk walk with her pack already heavy with some of the supplies she has bought. Tearion and his men quickly come into view. With nearly uncontrolled glee of happiness at seeing a old friend she rarely sees thees day, and grin of some mischief in thought.

* Ravossel steps off the road, and goes be hind a tree, when she sees that no one is looking at her (spot 45 ) she ghost steps be coming fully invisible (Ninja 3) With swift, soft cat~like movements, Ravossel moves as swiftly as she can, as quickly as she canmove Silently 21 ). It's not with out a doubt a few may hear the soft foot falls of Ravossel, or may be a light brush of her, cloak, or the wind that's suddenly displaced by invisible figure. *

* Then suddenly POOFF ! ! ! There's a over joy full, moon elf, she is garbed all in blue. Blue cape, monk style blue robes with a holy symbol of Lurue over her left breast and shoulder, blue swet band, and her hear feet and leg, and hand and wrist wrapping are blue. Ravossel is by Tearon's side slightly out of hands reach. She waits politely for a few moments until Tearon speaks her, and like normal her timing when seeing him is really bad.*

*Taeron finishes his sweep of the area - finding the body of the beggar. He grumbles and picks it up, carrying it away from the "battlefield" in plain view of everyone. He then gives it to two militia members and orders them to deliver it to the Temple*

*He then turns to the men who did the primary sweep and speans coldly:*

Remind me to give you all a speech about a man's worth.

*Having said that, he returns to organizing the defenses and the strike team - and notices Ravossel*

You've got one hell of a timing, girl. We could use your help.

*The barbarian calls Katarina closer and speaks to them both (as well as any other Auxiliary Militia members that happen to arrive)*

Can you team up and do an aggressive recon of the barn for me? Go as deep as you can without being cut off from the surface and give me an estimate on the numbers and strenght of the goblins. I'd prefer to stay topside, in case this was just a diversion.

Katarina nods and looks at Ravossel "We should be good. But we are only two, we won't be able to cover much ground without being cutted off from the surface despite their weakness."
She then shrugs and waits for Ravossel stop finish talking.

The guards who are order to take the body of the begger away hesitate a bit. "Is he a dalemen or one of those freeloaders the zhents brought in?" Then take the corpse, toss it onto a wagon, and pull it to the House of Plenty.

The makeshift wall around the barn is built with a number of guards set up for attack. None of them seem ready to go down into the tunnels. They haven't been trained to fight underground and stories are spreading that a drow was seen. None readily volunteer as they vividly remember their two comrades that were killed by goblins.

*The Temple provides a simple but proper burial with all respect.*

Katarina sits on a barrel near the barn entrance, she sharpens her axe making sure it can cut goblin shields and the like with ease and then examines Ravossel, trying to discern what kind of tactics she will use in the upcoming fight.
She waits until Taeron gives the order, looking around for any other volunteers.

The two memebers of the group enter the barn to find the corpses of many goblins, a few Ogres, and burnt ashes which is likely where the trolls were. As they weren't inform about much that happened beyond that they continue to the hole into the goblin caves, maybe thoughts of drow on their minds due to the rumors going on outside.

In the tunnels they see the foot prints of the massive group that attacked the people upstairs but not much other then that. They continue their way deeper and see just signs of the monsters but no monsters themselves. Footprints and scraps of disgarded equipment.

As they approach where the chief and shaman normally are they find just their bodies. Magic burns seem to be the cause of death. The two seemed to have just died standing their and fell over onto their faces dead before they hit the ground. No sign of struggle. As they look over the area they hear the sounds of a single creature running away from them deeper into the caves.

They follow the path until they reach the door leading deeper. Here they find a single adventurer dead and stripped of gear. He seems to have been stomped on a number of times and his right leg is missing.

Katarina motions to the adventurer with her chin and looks down the tunnel that leads deeper into the underground "You, lady, take care of that, I will keep an eye out meanwhile"
She listens for anything out of the ordinary, if she had been surrounded by blood-thirsty goblins she wouldn't be as worried as she is now, this is the work of magic no doubt and it must be a mild-powerful mage to make goblins drop dead. Taking a deep breath she looks at her axe, then at Ravossel and then into the tunnel in front of her. What now?

To Katarina

It's hard to say what roll Ravossel will do. Several things stand out. She has long bow, it's quite clear it's enchanted for there's a soft steady flowery of fog that floats off of it. There's a spear on her back that looks like a cross between a sword, and spear. To some it's a very odd weapon in dead. Then on her side hangings curved sword, it could a curved short sword and a scimitar. Ravossel's hands wrists, feet, and shins are wrapped up in monk-ish wrappings, even her robes very heavily reflect that of a monk. But her cat - like movements and stealthy-ness hints to some thing along the lines of a Rouge or some other stealthy type.

To ADM_Specters

Upon entering the goblin tunnels Ravossel would have her long bow out along with a few arrows, as they slowly walk along in the deep dark dank tunnels Ravossel keeps a eye out for traps, goblins and other unpleasant surprises.

When they pass goblin body's and the like Ravossel takes a quick look and try to determine there cause of death. Rather it be by arrows, and bolts, some type of Melee weapon, or magical burns. Ravossel would tend to sticking to the cave walls hoping to stay out of sight.



To Katarina

*with a nod and sigh, and as Katarina stands watch, Ravossel pulls out a scroll and start reading from it, while playing to Lurue. As she read from the scroll and prays to Lurue Ravossel is kneeling over the fallen Adventurer. ( scroll of Raise dead )

*Taeron would give Ravossel a brief briefing - describing what he knows about the situation and the goblin attacks and their numbers.*

*Should no more Auxiliary Militia members arrive, Taeron would call in the two highest ranking officers in the group:*

I might have to go in. I want you to sound the signal horn, should the enemy strike from above while we're down there. If I hear it, I make sure we make it topside as fast as possible. You're in charge of the perimeter. Hold your ground - you know what to do and you know who can relieve you of command duty.

Normally I am available from GMT 14:00-16:00 Monday through Thursday, however the last few days I have had sick children. I will be on the next few days at that time. If you guys can show I will run through the rest of this. Just let me know which day. If those days don't work I can shoot for that Tim on Saturday.
