Not a date!

After the bizarre altercation in town, and an aside conversation, Simon can be seen leading Ahri into the Old Skull Inn.  Inside he finds a suitable booth, and agrees to buy her whatever she wishes to eat.  He attempts to make pleasant small talk, and poke fun at the boisterous Celovar, and the tight-lipped Cruven, whom he has interviewed; all in good taste.  He even mentions a curious dance party that ended in abruptly with a head-butt. [Edit]: He certainly listened to her talk about languages politely, but did not have much to offer, only knowing elven and common, himself. He made no sign that he was bored, and in fact, seemed at least somewhat interested, if not overwhelmed.

After dinner, he leads Ahri upstairs and rents two adjacent rooms, giving one key to Ahri.  He yawns and takes off his hat as he makes his way to his room for the night.  He triple checks to make sure the door is shut tight, and made sure his room has no windows.  He also drags some furniture in front of the door for good measure, and lays his platemail on top, such that if the door is disturbed, it would tumble and crash upon the floor.  Laying his greatsword in bed beside him, carefully wrapped in a blanket, he goes to sleep.

((Feel free to followup in case Cleo or Ashton want to do anything further, or were still spying on the two!  Or if either tried to get Simon in trouble or something.))

Ahri wasn't one to turn down food. She bore his poking with patience, smiling every now and then, but she would remind him that both of them were very powerful individuals whom she respected greatly. At the mention of a dance party that ended with a headbutt, she raised a brow, and chuckled. It must have been some party.

If she got the chance, she would talk his ear off about beginning her studies on elemental languages, even showing him her Ignan, Auran, Aquan, and whatever the earth elemental language is for Dummies books. She would go into great detail on what she had learned so far, which was pretty much just the basics. It would probably bore him half to death.

Afterwards, she would thank him for renting the room for her, and would probably just flop into bed and pass out. A comfy bed sure beat the stone floor of Castle Krag.

Having tried his hand at eavesdropping and found it to be not nearly as revealing as he'd hoped, Cleo wandered off.

He then spent the majority of the night like many 18-year-olds do, once they're away from adult supervision: following around after his drunk, idiot friend.

Utterly unaware where Ahri or Simon spent the night, Cleo was nevertheless fortunate enough to bump into Ahri the next morning just outside the city gate. They chatted about several things as they escorted one another to the pier.

From there, Cleo made for Myth Drannor and the Dawnspire.

As the inn keep knows Ashton well enough for the rooms he finances for others and keeps for himself, he would slide a generous tip to the man and listen to whatever the man has to offer in gossip before slipping off into the sunset.

(( I just wanted to give people the attempt to try to attack him again, if they wanted, or to try to get the guards (PC, as I don't think ncp's would) to arrest him, or w/e. It doesn't look like it happened though! ))
