Hiring temporary guards

Due to an increase in malicious activity by beastmen and orc tribes uniting against the House of Redemption and Misty River, we are hiring guards, warriors, scouts and watchmen on a per week basis.

2000 crowns per head per week for every abled hiree.

Roman re-posts the fliers in areas where they were torn down... hides in the shadows a couple hours watching each one he puts up, makes rounds to all he's put up and any that are torn down again that he missed the culprit, he hangs one more and waits in the darkness... drinking a tall bottle of rye ever so slowly.... watching and waiting.

One night Roman would see a larger man, a half orc looking over the parchments and pocketing it.

*giving that in fact, this takes place near and in the bastard sword and the half orc is sitting and reading the poster, Roman approaches him... asks to sit down and talk... still head to toe in black leather save for his coal black eyes*

Upon noticing this mongrel lifting a poster... Roman wouldn't hesitate to move in quietly among the moonlight shadows, and without warning attempt 2 or 3 death attacks to paralyze this transient... tie him up... and haul him off to "the house dungeon" for interogation.

If unsuccessful in the paralysis attack (even though the half orc likely took 1-3 gashes -- and if he isn't dead), Roman plainly visible in head to toe black leather, would take an offensive stance brandishing a pair of black metal kukri's.

If he's dead... he gets hauled off to the house dungeon, attempted raise/res and subsequently interogated.

IF this orc turns out to be some epic hero and Roman is n ANY danger of losing a fight to him, he'd use his long list of subterfuge skills to gain and advantage.

Azzelas can be seen sitting on the small island infront of the house of redemption. He simply came not entering the house till now.

*Crypto is on the roof, with a burly man pointing out things on the ground and away from the foundation of the keep for him to throw large rocks at. A barrel... a rotten stump.... an empty bottle... He notices Azzelas and calls down.*

Ahh! Fair day to you sir... give me a moment, I'll be right down.

*He instructs the burly rock lobber and the other archers on the roof, and heads down and out to the main doors to greet the visitor.*

What can I do for you?

Azzelas, smoking a cigar offers Crypto one too.

"I am waiting for your "friends". I await the swordsman that led them. I need to repay a whole in my armor. Thats all there is to it."

Afterwards he leans his dark gleeming blade on the bench right next to him.

*takes a cigar and lights it in the pyre on the veranda and puffs sipping a brandy*

Stay as long as you like friend.  He and his minions are going to find quite a few surprises when they return.

*due to the gravity of the situation AND the proverbial "hitting of the jack pot" during a recent mining expedition... Crypto has the weekly stipend adjusted on all posters to 5000 crowns per head per week and includes room and bordello... board.*

The large man looks over toward him still holding the poster in hand before speaking. 

"Me getting big gold here. What you want small man?"

*grins slightly under his mask* IF... you do good work, yes, you get good pay. Same for your friends. Would ya mind putting that sign back up when you're finished reading it?

The large half-orc shrugs

"Okay"

Roman... hang the damn posters and move on. What's so freakin hard about that?!?

The half-orc takes the poster and has a drink, sitting and drinking. He plays a few hands of cards places some bets. He remains here for some hours.

*Roman gives up and has replacement posters done up added disclaimer at the bottom repeated in common, undercommon, dwarven, orcish, and elvish*
