Woman in Red

A familiar face is seen walking around Shadowdale and the out lying areas as she patrols once again. She has met a few new faces and seen some of the guards as they wave to her on her way out of town. She asks them of the news and of her love. She hears of some of the troubles and just shakes her head. She heads out on a patrol as she would normally do after tending to her prayers. Perhaps she hopes to see some more familiar faces...perhaps one being Taeron.

Mara might meet Karovir on the road on his usual strolls. He would greet her if she should choose to stop by else he would offer her a nod.

She would smile to Karovir.

Greetings my old friend. It's been a while. I trust you are well?

He would offer a polite nod:

"Good day, miss Mara. It has indeed been a long time. I am as well as always, thank you. How are you? Looking for Taeron?"

She would nod.

Aye, I'm well. Just got back from my father's home. Just out on patrol and hoping to see my betrothed. Any news as of late?

Karovir strokes his beard:

"Well, there was some trouble in Shadowdale again involving your betrothed, a few people like... hmm... yeah me. Apparently that old hag Glamerie banished Taeron for something I don't know yet. It has something to do with Glamerie insulting a deputy. Then something about the Twisted Tower and Glamerie going into it despite being told not to. I can say that the mayor is mad already since the day when she got out of the Zhentarim jail. I probably would have killed Glamerie quickly and swiftly and put an end to all this if Taeron didn't hold me back. Thinking it wouldn't have been the wisest thing to do but we agreed on this temporary government after freeing Shadowdale and she rules too long to be only temporary. And I have no idea who those elders are she brought with her.

I left the whole mess though seeing that the people of Shadowdale simply never learn and accept each bit of tyranny they can get apparently. I haven't heard from Taeron and the others since then. Maybe you should ask Bryanna or some other official."

He pauses a moment then adds:

"Ah yes I am angry at Myth Drannor, especially the Coronal and the council. That's another story though. Strangely it includes Glamerie, too but not mainly."

She shakes her head.

That's a shame. She used to be such a pillar of the community. The Zhents must have hurt more than just her body. Hopefully she will come to her senses soon.

Karovir nods:

"Yes, it must have had a severe impact on her mind."

She nods them smiles to him.

Now what if you my friend? How is your life going? Any new women trying to grab for your affection?

He raises a brow as if surprised of her questions then answers:

"Just strolling. I became a bit more careless here and there and the thing with Myth Drannor is also something I took quite personal. As to the women. You know I am far away from a flirtatious person. Except for my former wife I had like one or two relationships which didn't last much longer than a week probably. The worst is that one of those relationships was with a Sharran who was a spy... And that's all a long time ago. I guess it takes patience to put up with me as I don't trust easily and women seem to prefer the easy men around here.

I am not sure if you noticed it before but I have built rock shrines all around the Dales and the Cormanthor. I visit each of them from time to time so if you ever need to contact me and don't know where I am to find currently leave a message at one of those. The fastest one would be the one at the crossroads."

She nods.

I will Karovir. Glad I got to see you. And as to the women thing...I meant no offense my friend. I just like to see my friends happy in life. Should I need to get in touch with you I'll leave a message. And if you see Taeron let him know I'm back and looking for him.

"No offense taken. I will probably die alone in this regard. It was a pleasure and I will of course let Taeron know of your return should I meet him before you. Welcome back and beware of undead on the roads."
