Lands Marred and Darkness

In the Edge of Cormathor, the charred lands can be seen towards the North East, by a large stump. It seems the result of a fire, and even bits of the soil is eaten away, as if acid consumed it. North of the charred area, the earth is dug slightly, bits of skeletons and bones surfaced. Dark energies can be felt around where they were dug up, as if something necromatic was in process, but not quite completed. The beastmen are even leery of that particular area.

Above the canopy, a beat of wings passed overhead briefly, before the sound dissipated. Below the trees and on the ground, a figure shifted down to a more reasonable sized being draped in natural shades, silver eyes peering out from behind an oaken mask at the destruction. A heavy, weary sigh escaped their lips.

"All at once..." She muttered dryly, examining the area quietly for a time, as if not quite sure what to take care of first.

Coming behind her a giant gray wolf stands at Lhanir side and look to her with red and calm eyes

Turning her attention towards to the wolf, who was quite likely near her shoulder-level, she extended a hand briefly to rest atop his head in an affectionate manner, gesturing outwards with the other hand. "I was informed that the dracolich who caused this had also contaminated the land... leaving something dark behind." Lhanir's gaze flickered for a moment of tribulation before she continued murmuring to the wolf. "It is best that we proceed with caution and see if this cannot be cleansed by conventional means."

The wolf nods at her words perking his ears and gazing the area around.

Once they entered the blinding fog bank. . .

. . . They stood speechless for quite some time.
It was clear they never should have wandered into the cormanthor forest that night.
They searched out a strange quietness, followed by a thunderous crash.
Even the one that stood steadfast, lost her tongue for a few minutes.
Why did they never come across this great being before?
Or was this great being always part of the forest, from way before their short pathetic mortal lives?
The taste of vomit and shortness of breath, from the acidic aftermath, will remain in their dreams and daydreams alike.

A Monarch of Unlife is something Beyond Fear itself!

Upon the hill, a large, black bear with emerald eyes appears. Raising it's head in the air, it sniffs a few times, then goes directly to the area with the darkened energies. It begins using it's large, strong paws to crush what bones it can into as much of a fine dust that it can. It continues this process slowly and delicately, making sure to get as many pieces as it can.

Slowly, the crushed remains begin to pile up. The bear steps back and looks over it's work. Seeming satisfied, it closes it's eyes. With a huff, a gust of wind picks up and kicks the dust up into the air. As the dust is carried away, the bear then opens it's eyes and observes the area around it. Though the skeletons were dealt with, the lands still feel as they did before; darkened and unnatural.

Finally, the bear lowers its head and begins to shift forms. The hairs on it's body diminish, the claws disappear back into regular fingernails. Those that watch will see that the bear has now become a petite Elven woman. This is obviously a druid. Her eyes look upon the land with worry. She kneels down and runs a hand through the dirt.

"Such an unnatural feel. The land has been desecrated."

Throughout the passing of the fortnight since the events transpired, the Arch Druidess would have been seen cleaning up the area of any tainted substance that was not the land itself. She shifted in and out of forms, most specifically taking on the shape of a massive silver dragon and flying up above the canopy, scanning both the skies and the lands beyond before returning and resuming her tireless work.

On one particular evening she spotted the bear and made her way over after it had taken up the form of a humanoid. Not recognizing the elf, she would nod her head politely in both agreement and greeting, expression hidden behind a green-painted oaken mask.

"The Dracolich that landed here made quite the spectacle it would seem... but he did not stay long."

*At long last Ravossel feels well enuff to travel and to see what she can do about this new taint. Be for heading out Ravossel gathers a number of items about. Some essences, epic grade holy water, and powered silver. *

* Sneaking, past the Beastman by going through the forest along the back side of the beatman tower. Two very Large big cat slink there way to the tainted land. One of them is a grate white tiger, and the other is a panther covered in a midnight blue fur, that seems to glisten in the light. For the ones that can sencse such things both of them seem to be Celestial in Nature.*

* If no one is there by the time the pair arrive, Ravossel stays ink her panther forum, and inspect the land. *

* If one, or both of them are there, Ravossel shifts forms, revealing her petite elven forum. Then with a bright glee full attitude.* hello ! *Ravossel is garbed in simple-ish monk style white robes, with a holy symbol of Qunee Lurue sown over the left breast in silver threads.* It's truly a never ending task to heal the land of the tait the walking dead spread.* Ravossel looks between them then to the other elf with even more of a glee full attitude, and happiness* I'm Ravossel, and that one over there is my sister Donnleen. *Ravossel says as she motions to the white Tiger, that seems to be on guard. Looking out for a sudden surprise attacks by the beast man.* I have some items with me that may be used in trying to heal this land, and remove what's left of this dark energies. *Rabossel posses in thought, as she looks at the tainted ground. *

A ritual was conducted at the site of the desecrated lands. The lands now feel a weight lifted of it's shoulders. A bright light accompanied the ritual, showing it's success. Any undead that would enter this small area would feel uncomfortable. ((Spell was Hallow)).

Afterwards, the druids and ranger make their way to the Grove to discuss things. ((All done in game))
