Angry dwarf

Valtore arrives at the gates of Shadowdale in full Ironhouse armor. The gold and black armor shining in the noon day sun. He tells the guard to fetch what ever stupid human claims to be in charge of the dirt farm. He is there to tell them that if they are going to protect scum whom his own kin dies to free their worthless town from the Clan will end all current and future relations with them. He also remade the return of the control rod and Iron Golem he personally gifted the town with to protect it as obviously they are to blind to realize what a real threat is.

He waits outside of town because his dwarven stubborness prevents him from setting foot inside of the town.

Valtore responds to the elf in dwarven. "No, I will not set foot in this human village again as long as they defend worshippers of dark Gods. They have no brains nor honor for the sacrifices made by people for their freedom. In my own home we know how to deal with scum like that. We toss them off our bridge and let their faith deal with their fate. But I do not expect much from humans any longer."

Valtore then nods to Celovar as he approaches. "Well met me friend."

Nods his head and seeing another elf wanders by he speaks in common to the two.

"If you are here for that Banite, know that he is being protected by Shadowdale law, the man is testing the patience of everyone, even though he knows he is not wanted, he dares sitting at a campfire and speaking niceties, what is worse is that the others appear to welcome his company. "

He pauses and continues.

"Others do seem to be waiting for the chance to find him outside the town's limits for a reckoning, alas, he is relatively safe as long as he is within town."

The elf lifts his hat briefly to rub his forehead.

"I witnessed most of the ordeal last night. I am truly surprised the Banite has not been put to the sword yet"

Sky, an Air Genasi looking in typical wizard fasion, wanders out and waves to Aurreco, then sits on the side and sets up to write in a book. She seems intent on chronicling the event.

The Enchantress Shahnaz, notices Valtore as she takes a stroll. "Loremaster, what a pleasure to see you", she remarks in elven.

Noticing the stern look on his face she enquires off-handedly as she waves briefly to Sky, "Is something the matter, you seem as though the mountain has fallen on you?"

Cruven steps out of town and walks over to Valtore.

"I ain't here ta be the diplomat or anythin', jus' came ta inform ye the Elders have been notified 'bout this whole mess an hopefully're reviewin' the laws. I'll take yer concerns ta um if'n ye dont wanna step in town."

As Celovar approaches he nods to the elf with a kind regard. 

"Hello cousin."

He then turns his attention to Valtore and Greets him with a full forearm hand shake.

"Yes I caused quite a stir the other day when I nearly drew blades to kill the Banite in the middle of town. The truth is all I wanted was him dead, his every step on that soil is an insult to every man or woman to have bled for this town or the common people to have to sit in it. They want him dead to, they just want to call it an execution instead of murder, there is little difference the man still dies and in an execution hes not wielding a blade. That is for them to try to make themselves feel better as they lay in bed. I did not think it would help my case to cut down to paladins in order to reach the Banite. Granted if I did I would of expected there gods to toss them into the hells or the walls for dieing to defend a Banite. No, no I would resolve this another way. I have written the elders and I expect a meeting. Hell a good number of the guards were trained by me. So I will expect to be addressed by the elders."

A strong, calm older man approaches. He listens carefully to the exchange and tilts his head, looking at the dwarf with kind, but passionate eyes.

"Master dwarf, welcome, and master elf as well." He bows his head respectfully.

"I have been listening and thought now would be the best of times to approach you. My name is Elder Rory, you may remember me," he says patiently and looks between the three men gathered slowly. His voice is steady, his eyes firm with resolve. "Although my brothers and sisters of human blood are a fickle, confusing race prone to changing their minds and confusion, you can rest easy knowing that the town of Shadowdale and the Elders, myself in particular, would never protect a follower of tyranny. Not who is left alive now, at least. Have you all forgotten the attrocities and pain, the death and torture, the lies and deceit, the constant strain and pressure, daughters left to rot in the street, orcs feeding upon their bodies, looks of shock and horror and the hand of tyranny laughing as it crushed this town under it's weight?"

He looks between them all slowly. "Neither have we. The one thing we will not do," he pauses and tilts his head for emphasis, "is submit to tyranny in our hearts, in our minds or in our actions. If we behave and rule with the right intentions, but with nothing different than imposing our wills with what we see fit to feel at this particular moment, what makes us any better than the filth that ruled this town before?"

He takes a moment to look around the town and continues. "The people of Shadowdale are not tolerating a servant of Bane and I have personally asked him to leave. I have given him reasonable reason to leave. I have shown an incredible amount of tolerance and patience for a man who could be held accountable for every single on of the actions of his flock of lost souls, but what we will not do is fight evil with evil. What is right and what is fair is right and fair for everyone. The last thing our town needs is more up in arms panic over a passing and manageable issue. Please, enjoy a meal and drinks on my tab with Myra. If I can break away from official business long enough, I would join you three, if not, make yourself at home."

He bows his head respectfully and continues walking slowly around the town, speaking with people from time to time.

A frail-looking figure in a yellow hood stands off to the side, his hands clasped before him, two buckets of water at his feet.

Head bowed, he listens to the ruckus. Then he notes the multitude of signs posted atop each other on the bulletin board and the ream of flyers blowing about. "If I ever leave the priesthood," he remarks, in a raspy voice, "I'll open a printing press or a scrivener's. Make me a fortune."

Seeing Maya approach, he smiles, but he doesn't stay. Instead, he lifts his buckets and heads westward, struggling from their weight.

Valtore looks sternly at the Elder. He doesn't seem pleased at all and would likely go on some rant...but is tackled by a half naked women in stead who is talking about kissing games and quickly becomes distracted. He hugs her fiercely (planting his face in her chest due to height differance). When done he is smiling broadly and offers to escort her into the tavern with his good friends Celovar and of course the Shahnaz. The Elf is welcome to join as well. They will be having a grand meal on Elder Rory's tab! "Drinks 'round!" He then escorts Maya into town with a wolfish grin.

*Sky concludes her writing as they start to walk off* "What a cunning tactic to deal with rampaging dwarves..." *Seems surprised she didn't think of it first*

"I do hope that such a circumstance will not take place again, I was asked to leave the town when I was-" 

Celovar is cut off by Mayas entrance and is hugged. He looks some what annoyed at first and does not hug her back but quickly calms down. He decided to go with the group to the tavern and have quite a few drinks and a rather large meal.

The Enchantress Shahnaz accompanies the entourage to the Tavern, she does not drink and only picks lightly at the food. She does however seem quite pleased to be amongst company with Valtore, though she seems somewhat stand offish for some reason with Aureco.
