Zhentarim Recruitment Flyers

The Dancing Moon staff are instructed to take down any recruitment posters (from anyone) that go up on the grounds.

The ones on the crossroads, Arjay casually tears down as he sees them coming by.

More flyers appear in the Dales. Once again the Zhentarim is recruiting and mustering its forces. Anyone who is interested, is directed to head to Krag.

It has been some time since recruitment flyers have been posted by the Zhentarim, but once again, they have begun to appear in the Dales, along the Northride, and at the Edge of the Cormanthor. Upon them is the Symbol of the Zhentarim. Black cloaked figures can be seeing putting up these fliers, though they flee if they are confronted, using magic to throw any pursuers off of their trail. In areas closer to Krag, patrolling Zhentarim keep a close eye on the sites where the flyers are posted. Anyone caught taking them down is beaten at best or dragged to Krag at worst. However, the patrols quickly retreat in the face of a greater force, though they always return with reinforcements.

The flyers read:

"The Zhentarim calls upon those who serve Bane, his allies, or wish for power and glory to come to Krag and join! Great are the riches that wait for those who serve well, along with influence and prestige! Greater still are these things for those who turn to follow the Dread Lord! Warriors, spellcasters, assassins, thieves, spies...all are welcome to meet the Dark Archon, she who owns the mountain of Krag, and soon much, much more!"

Upon the back of the flyers is a map to Krag. Those of a goodly nature who attempt to read or destroy the flyers are subject to a nasty surprise. ((PM me for details))

*On her usual and routine patrols, Ami would see and hear said figures from a long distance as they are putting fliers at the Edge of Cormanthor towards the side of the river and Northride especially.

She looks at the fliers and frowns after the black cloaked figures have left, though she would be able to follow their tracks if she wished.

She casts a spell on her one hand, rips the fliers from wherever they are posted with the other and sets them on fire as they touch her flaming hand, letting them become ash in the wind. She looks around, dismissing the flames and leaves, returning where she came from.*

*when or if Ravossel comes across the posters, she sighs softly, be for simply taking them down, and letting them turn to ash in her hands. With a soft smile, Ravossel goes about removing the nails/tacks that held the poster up. Once done Ravossel places hand upon the tree, and forces some of her healing powers on to the tree to heal it from the wounds that the nails/tacks would have done.*

*As Ravossel does her thing Donnleen stands by keeping a eye out for any trouble.*

*the posters that are/would be mostly effected are the ones along the edge of the Comanthor, shadowdale wood, cross roads, and fox ridge.*

*Heidi Shepard one sees the posters while walking to the House of Redemption and stops to look at it a moment.*

"Lovely, good for them." *She says to herself and continues walking, not destroying the posters.*

On her travels here there and everywhere Nadia would spot some of the flyers and grin with a impish grin! grabbing as many as she comes across she then continues on her way to the underdark for a stop of adventuring, plundering and fun, while in the Durrerga camp and Szith Morcane she now and then grins impishly when she finds herself alone and quickly pins up a poster here an there! (hide 41, MS 39)

"Hehehe this should be interesting!"

The posters in szinth wouldnt last an hour before being met with incineration as a very displeased Yath'tallar is seen in the area.

She motions to the guards nearby

"Find whatever vither put that up, and bring them before ussta now! Do so quickly or usstan will use dos as a subsitute"

By which time, the one that did it, and who had been sure to not have any eyes on her and no one in the line of sight was long gone to the surface!

Anyone of a good alignment who reads or attempts to destroy the fliers are subject to a Greater Symbol of Weakness spell. ((32 DC Will save or take 3d6 strength damage, halved on a successful save. If you have spells that can block the Symbol, or prevent it from effecting you, you may use said spells or abilities.))

*Yukk Grimfell sensing that there might be some wise arse way these flyers could be used, picks one up off the floor that is still in good condition and stows it in a case. With greedy and nasty thoughts he finishes with. . .*

Any of the flyers that Kalthanar comes across he takes down and destroys (he is CN so I guess the symbol doesn't work on him).

"Hah, good luck Zhents. I'm here, you aren't doing anything."

*Ami doesn't seem affected by the spells in the least but probably figured out that they were some magical traps on them with a Spellcraft check*

*When Ravossel starts to burn the poster, the trap goes off, making Ravossel drop the post, and recoil in suprized, as her knees buckle slightly underneath her.(( 18 str to 14 str )) *Donnleen look up with a surprised look at Ravossel.*

*after a few deep breaths! Ravossel rubs Donnleen's head.*

I'm all right gril, just strength drain trap.

*Ravossel sighs softly. As she chants a few words in sylvan, and letting the mirrer mercal called Resterion, wash though out her body in hopes to remove what the trap spell did.*

*Ravossel then looks about some.* you know sis thees posters are going to be a whole lot more fun, and more challenging to remove now. Sooo hummmm. What to do about thees.

Let's humm stand back like quite bit, and then I can use vines to rip down the posters.

*Upon spotting another poster, Ravossel stands back as fare as she can about 70 feet +/- 10 feet. And uses some of her Druidic gifts to, bring forth some vines/roots/tree branches to rip down the poster.*

Jack picks up the flyer and smirks to himself, "They will come Bane has willed it." He carefully and gently replaces the flyer onto the tree nailing it in with an old rusty dagger.

Karovir sees a flyer on his travels through the land and looks at it for a while then simply moves on leaving it where it is.

Wandering along the road, carrying a burlap sack,in hand. A dark figure eyes the posters on the Edge of Krag.

"So they are recruiting any cur, any vagabond. I wonder who's decision this was!."

He pauses a moment.

"Though it is not my place to question the Will of the One true Deity! The Dread Father, Bane."

Pressing his fist to his chest, regardless of who may or may not have been on the slopes of Krag he calls out, proudly with a deep callous tone.

"Hail Terror!"

On that he would continue onward up the slopes of Krag.

((They would not have been as far away as Voonlar, but the closer you get the Krag, the more likely you'll see one.))
