Such worshippers are not welcome here.Regarding Fury Worshippers:- Spoiler:
Citizens and Visitors of Shadowdale,
It has come to our attention that there are those within our fair town that are known to be worshipers of some of the furies such as Malar and Talos.
First and foremost, we wish it to be known that based on the laws in place, there is nothing which forbids their presence within the city. Based on this fact, we; The Government of Shadowdale; state that while they are permitted within the city, we have no stance levied for or against them. We understand that these Gods and their followers are known to be very destructive and can possibly bring harm to the lands and people should their wrath be invoked.
Due to the differences in faith, public worship of these gods could in fact cause a disturbance in the peace due. We believe that to recognize their allowance into this city by our officials is enough to show our respect for our laws and the raw power the Gods of these followers holds.
Included are the actions we will not tolerate as well as the actions we will take should the presence of these worshipers get out of hand. As well as the rest of the laws which you are required to follow, lest you be in violation of them, the following shall apply to you as well.
Disturbing the Peace: This can include (BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO) public worship of the Furies within our small town. We recognize your devotion to your Gods, but we ask that you recognize our reluctance to allow something that will break apart the feeling of safety even more with our citizens. Should you commit this act as a worshiper of a Fury, you will be asked to leave town with no questions. We respect our laws in allowing you to be here. Please respect our people's reluctance to allow such destructive Gods to be openly worshiped. They've been through enough.
Failure to Comply with Lawful Command: If a lawful officer (such as a member of the Sheriff's office) asks you to cease with you actions, you are required to comply. They will not ask you to cease what you are doing unless there is a concern with what your actions are doing that effect the WHOLE of the city. Should you commit this act, the officer reserves the right to ask you to leave our town with no questions.
Treason: Should we find that you are committing actions taken directly against Shadowdale knowingly that causes or has the potential to cause catastrophic damage to the town, you will be immediately banished.
Know that we recognize the right you have to walk in our town. However, this does not mean we will be accepting of you should you begin to break the laws we have put in place to keep our town safe and orderly. If it turns out that allowing worshipers of the Furies becomes an issue, we reserve the right to retract your right to walk our town.
This town has been through much destruction and pain, and we will do all in our power to prevent this from happening again. We ask that while we respect that our law allows you to walk with us in town, you respect that your presence is worrisome to this community and we have little reason to trust people who's Gods speak of such destructiveness and blood-thirst.
Should you abide by our laws and prove yourselves capable of living in line with our laws, then we will have no reason to retract your authorization to walk our streets.
Signed,
The Government of Shadowdale
